Very basic hotel. Lobby certainly needs some upgrade but rooms were large, comfortable and well maintained. Reasonable rate compared to hotels in the area as it doesn’t come with any frills i.e restaurant, work out room etc.

The rooms are spacious and in a great part of Anchorage. Visitors can easily walk to restaurants and the coastal walking trail. Front desk staff were very accommodating.

We only needed one night. The room smelled musty and just seemed "old". The bed wasn't very comfortable but the location was convenient. If all you need is a place to lay your head, it is ok. Would not recommend for a comfortable stay however.

Room 212 had a funny odor maybe someone had a pet, but the beds where comfy as clouds, pretty clean. Just ask for extra towels you will need them the bathroom floor seemed to hold alot of water stayed wet very moist. The lady staffers was extremily pleasent 5 stars for the ladies. GOOD location for downtown to alaska train short walk and public bus. Food expensive stop at walmart load up on food if on a budget. Over all very nice

Great location, but overpriced for the quality you get. Since they do, or did allow smoking in certain rooms, the whole building smells musty and like old smoke. The rooms are spacious with kitchenettes, which is helpful. It’s a 2 star hotel based on my experiences. You’re not going to get super slick or bright, with all the bells and whistles and modern flare, but it has more than enough amenities to appease most folks for a few days.

Room was clean, greeted upon arrival with kindness and attentiveness. The room was pleasantly sound. It is an older building with older trim, but has been kept clean. It does NOT smell like an older hotel. Pleasantly surprised to find our room with a kitchenette. Being an Alaskan and seeing what’s becoming of downtown, I felt safe here at Voyager. We parked our car outside on the side street and it was safe and unbothered. Location is ideal within walking distance of shopping and dining.

When we first arrived, entrance looked like a budget hotel, but wow our room was fabulous! We got the a deluxe two bed room: It was huge with a kitchen and bar with a microwave, a toaster oven, a fridge, and sink. What more could you want !

We had stayed at the Captain Cook the night before, but due to last minute changes to our itinerary, they couldn't accommodate a longer stay. So we booked the Voyager. It was clean and has been updated although it is an older property. Had access to Captain Cook amenities which was super helpful. Staff was nice and helpful. Convenient location. Not a 5 star resort but a lot less people than the Cook.

With taxes, etc our room cost us over $400. We were definitely disappointed. Yes, the hotel is in a convenient location, close to restaurants and across from The Captain Cook (which we had reservations for the next night). We arrived from a very long day of travel and wanted a soda or bottled water… not one vending machine in the place. The beds were comfortable, the kitchenette was unnecessary, the curtains weren’t sun blocking. The gal at checkin was very nice.

Voyager Inn is in a convenient location. The air conditioning (advertised on Expedia) didn't exist. It was pretty hot in our room even after opening the door to the faux balcony. We tried using the standing fan in the room but it didn't work and had to wait a while for a new one to be delivered. Then, on the first night, the building had no hot water left; there was hot water on the second night. The room was clean.
