We enjoyed our stay... many animals and the Hummingbirds were so delightful and relaxing to watch. Our hosts were very attentive and treated us as family. We would love to return in the future.

If you plan to visit Oriental, you must stay at Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast! The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. They greeted me as I arrived and took me on a tour of the house explaining the available amenities. The house has a wrap around porch, perfect for relaxing in the evening (I stayed in August and was surprised by the mild evening temperature). I had to leave early morning and typically do not eat breakfast so they had breakfast bars and fruit available for me to grab and go. They also have a coffee and tea bar available 24/7 with snacks, wine, and beer. The entire house was beautifully decorated and the beds were so comfortable that once my head hit the pillow, I didn’t wake up until my alarm went off. I stayed in the Roe Suite and web pictures do not do it justice. It’s a large suite with two entrances, one leading directly to the room that has the drinks and snacks (very convenient). The sitting area has a large comfortable couch, tv, and bookshelves filled with books. The bath, with tiled floors, full-length mirror, large double sink counter space, separate shower and large tub, is as large as the bedroom! And I have to mention the location, right in the middle of town, walking distance to the waterfront, shops, and restaurants, and a short distance to the grocery store. The innkeepers have thought of everything including a welcome gift with chocolates and a package of Magnolia House coffee. I will definitely return.

We arrived and we're the only guests. Even Brodie wasn't there. They partner with a sub shop up the road and I felt we were really encouraged to go there for breakfast instead of the inn. The first room was up a lot of stairs. There was a lot of dirt on ceiling fan blades. Room was nice looking. The AC unit was not cooling well at all so we asked if we cod stay in lower level room. No problem. The lower level room you had to step up approx. 8 inches to get into the bathroom. It was very dangerous. The mattress was HORRIBLE! Like an inner spring mattress with no pillow top and a plastic pad under sheet that made noise when you moved. The TV was laptop size and it appeared movies were $19.99 on demand to watch. The inn had cute decorations and nice areas to hang out. None of the exterior doors are locked during the night. You only had a single lock on your door knob. After reading such high reviews when booking, we were very disappointed!
