"We were looking for a peaceful, quiet base to explore the area around Burney Falls and Fall River Mills. Jared's cabin more than delivered. Comfortable deck overlooking Hat Creek, very comfortable bed (master bedroom also with a view of the creek), kitchen and home had all the essentials for a perfect stay. Jared was extremely responsive to any questions we had. We plan to return. Highly recommend."

"Very close to Bruney falls and grocery stores. There are not a lot of places to eat. Luckily there was a Safeway! "

"It was a nice comfortable place to stay prior to going to Lassen Volcanic National Park. While not any eating amenities to speak of nearby, there is a store where you can purchase items to heat in the microwave. Staff lady was friendly."

"This is more than just a house; it's a destination. I viewed more wildlife from this house than any of our hikes combined. I couldn't tear myself away from the sunroom. We saw families of deer, ducks, geese, squirrels and so many birds! Had I not been able to go out exploring I would've been just fine letting nature come to me at this house. The home has all of the essentials with thoughtful considerations. The Mr. Coffee coffee maker was pleasant to enjoy a pot of coffee while watching the sunrises over the mountains. We appreciated being able to wash a load of laundry, the dishwasher to take care of dishes, and the ice maker in the freezer. The rooms are all comfortable. The two bedrooms are next to each other after walking in the front door. The room with the sofa bed and the sun room with the futon are on the opposite side of the house. It was great having the option to park in the garage for ease of loading our luggage the night before our early morning departure. We felt there was a great variety of games and enjoyed playing them (Uno, Boggle, Puzzles, Cards, etc.). Though it was a very far distance to travel for us, we cannot wait to return!!"

"Great private retreat. Comfortable, cozy with a great kitchen where we baked fresh fruit pies, cornbread and chili. It was relaxing and we really appreciated the privacy. "

"Good stay at an affordable price but definitely had a motel smell. There are mosquitos at night. I got bitten 17 times within 30 mins and some of them do go into the room."
