Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice room with ensuite. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits available. Great choice at breakfast, including those, like me, who only want a continental breakfast. The full Cumbrian breakfast was swimming in fat, with rockhard poached eggs. The next day when I specifically said I didn't want anything fried, all grilled, it wasn't too bad.
