"We were in town for the CIF Southern Sectional track meet and needed a place to stay for 5 people. The Sandbox at Solimar Sands was perfect. The Unit was clean well stocked and just a pleasant place to relax and stay. It is steps from the beach, an easy walk downtown and an excellent location. I would definitely recommend staying here."

"Our family of four (including a one year old and three year old) stayed really comfortably between the two bedrooms. The living room / dinning area has a great amount of space to hangout in. We had more family staying in another unit and we mostly hung out in this unit for meals and movie time with that big comfy couch!"

Kitchen was well appointed, but would have been a tight squeeze for dining (especially because it was a little too chilly to use the outside table). Place was spotless, well-appointed with towels and supplies, and thoughtfully designed to maximize the space. Easy walk into town for restaurants and wine, and to the ocean. "This beach house is our fav little spot. It's nearly beachfront property, very clean and a perfect stay. The owners are quick with their responses. We have stayed here two years in a row for Spring Break and have loved it every time. Zero issues! Can't wait for next year."

"Lovely ground floor apartment with private patio. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated/furnished with lovely touches such as books and candles. Kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could require. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious which would be a bonus for larger parties. Clear instructions given about check in and out process and helpful notes about the property and surrounding area (things to do, restaurants etc.) Location was great - an easy short walk to the beach...

We walked to everything we needed (groceries, restaurants, ice cream, surf shop) and took strolls along the beach. Multiple other beaches with surfable waves were a short drive away. "This was a nice condo with good indoor and outdoor space. Renovated but not high end. No central heat (some wall units in 2 bedrooms only) or air (but not uncommon in California). Nice outdoor upstairs patio and upstairs suite. Spacious bedrooms and overall well appointed. No dishwasher or water line hook up for ice maker or water dispenser. Refrigerator stopped cooling last 2 days before we were to leave- over weekend (of a big storm) leaving us to cool things with bags of ice. Management was...

"My husband, 4 year old daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights. The main purpose was beach hopping - Carpinteria, Santa Claus, East Beach. This was a perfect middle ground! The condo was very clean, well stocked, and spacious for us. Host communicated via text and was quick and responsive. Highly recommend!"
