Both the owner and the property manager were so generous over the duration of our stay when we had two day power outage in April 2025 due to record breaking snow storm. Very clean room and neatly kept laundry room. Easy access to Glacier Paradise Gondola.My wife and daughters really enjoyed the area. Highly recommend it to family with preteen/teen age kids. Walk to bus stop was a bit tiring, but good warm up in the morning."

"Just got back from our stay in Papillon, a charming cabin perched in on a hillside in Val d’Herens. The cabin was clean, cozy and well equipped. The view was spectacular, beds very comfortable, kitchen equipped with everything needed to enjoy the holiday. Als Familie mit 5 Erwachsenen im Alter von 22 - 90 Jahren genossen wir eine Woche Skiferien, gemeinsames Kochen und Essen begleitet von den Weinen aus Jonathans Weinkeller und das gemütliche Zusammensein. Der Blick und die Lage sind zauberhaft!Leider war bei unserer Ankunft die letzte Reinigung nicht gründlich erfolgt, aber wir konnten es mit dem Vermieter klären und haben eine Lösung dafür gefunden. Wir haben die Woche dort sehr genossen und würde sehr gerne wieder kommen! "

"We had a pleasant stay with 2 adults and 5 teenagers. The châlet is typical and as described (note, however, that room 1 is mentioned twice in the description, but it is a 4-bedroom châlet, not a 5-bedroom châlet).The châlet is a 10-minute walk from the ski lifts, and 5-6 minutes from the old center of Grimentz (splendid). Recommended."

Hotel Chesa Valese

"Stayed at Hotel Chesa Valese for 5 nights recently and overall had a very good experience. There was a mix-up with the pickup time at first, but the staff were great and made up for it, so no complaints there. We ended up with what seemed like a bigger, more spacious room with loads of storage, and even a partial view of the Matterhorn tip, which was a nice surprise. Only issue in the room was with the plug sockets. All of them were Swiss three-pin. I brought standard EU two-pin plugs which usually work fine (they worked on the train), but for some reason they didn’t fit here. Reception gave us two adapters straight away, which was really helpful. Breakfast officially starts at 7:30am, which felt a bit late, but they let us eat at 7am one morning when we had to leave early. That flexibility was appreciated. The spa and sauna were excellent and definitely one of the highlights. The staff were always very helpful throughout our stay, which really made a difference. Only real downside was the WiFi. It wouldn’t work with a VPN, which was frustrating since I prefer not to use open networks. Luckily I had a data SIM so I managed, but it’s something to be aware of."
