Hard to locate

Everything was great once we found it except for being charged twice for the same night. Still waiting on our refund.

Cozy and economical

If you need a place to stay near the highway that is affordable, then Rodeway is it. You get a no-frills basic stay at a property that is well-managed - featuring nice, clean rooms with great TV offerings. Certainly bathroom components are older, but well-maintained (at least in the room we stayed in). It is great to have coffee, croissants and pastries in the a.m. and even Wi-Fi. The staff is great as well.

great hotel for cheap price

Awesome experiance for the rate..very very clean...every thing was good they even served breakfast ,less options but good...we checked in late but they have 24 hours check in policy which was great..we took a non smoking room and it was really very much clean...very clean tidy bathrooms..Overall great stay:)

It was a smoking room and I don't smoke. I really didn't think it would bother me but the smoke smell did. Anyway, I knew it was a smoking room

Ok room for the money

I was in Charlotte for the weekend and wanted a cheap hotel. The hotel was ok, nothing to brag about. The room was a smoking room and had holes in the sheets. The hotel also could use some updates but the bed was comfortable and the location was VERY convenient.

Pleasently surprised!

I was in town with my 2 teen aged boys for a huge rock concert. The hotel was full of concert goers but nobody bothered us. The room was great. Quiet, clean and well stocked. The staff was very helpful. The concert and check-in time overlapped but the staff allowed us to check in early, and also gave me the option to check in after the show (around midnight). It's right off the interstate and I had no issues w/the neighborhood. I would stay here again with no hesitation.

Easy access to I-85 and the Charlotte area.

This is a nice motel for those needing a decent place to stay. It has easy access to the interstate and the local area. Its about 10 minutes from the Charlotte Motor Speedway area.

It was cheap and the quality wasn't great.

Bed was too hard. It was very noisy and hard to sleep soundly.

Single Trip

I stay there for one night because i visited Charlotte. The area around the Hotel was ok but i felt it's not safe for me.

Overnighter for my Dad and me.

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Pillows were thin however for a good nights rest while on the road the price can't be beat.

Nice Hotel

We only spent 1 night there and it just what we needed. The room wasn't anything fancy, but it was clean, stocked, and a safe location. Located right off HWY 85, easy to get to, and had a wonderful restaurant/saloon with GREAT food right beside it.

Overnight rest on long road trip

The hotel was suitable. I think we were in it for less than 12 hours. The main concern was that the room was a smoking room, and it smelled a little foul. I have stayed in other smoking rooms that are aired out after someone leaves. This one, was not.

Place to lay your head

I had a single King smoking room since that's all that was available. With a little bit of febreeze, the smoke smell was eleminated but the bed could use replacing. It was hard and probably old. The only amenity in the room was a small fridge, no coffee maker or microwave. Overall room was clean, but the sheets had a burn spot and the bathtub looked like it wasn't cleaned very well last time. One table and chair, tube tv and a set of dresser drawers that were a step away from being a broken hunk of junk. Location is decent, right off the hw, about a mile from food lion and Walgreens, near other hotels and cook out is right down the street. Only down side is that to turn left towards the highway, you usually have to turn right and pull a upturn because of traffic. Front desk staff was very friendly!! I was rarely in my room so for $65/ngt it wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't recommend them for a place to relax.

nice and clean

I only stayed overnight and got in very late. Getting the key was fast and easy. They only had a smoking room available when I booked the hotel but I had no problem getting it changed when I arrived. There was a small refrigerator that was great because I carry water and ice packs with me all the time. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again.

Our room smelled terrible

It smelled like mildew as soon as we walked in the door. The pool was closed because it was not up to handicap accessible standards, and breakfast in the morning looked like it had been bought from the bodega two doors over. It was fairly close to the Charlotte Amphitheater, which was what we needed, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Nice little hotel, not the best part of town

The hotel staff was courteous and friendly, and the morning coffee was convenient. Everything seemed very clean, all the supplies were stocked, and the towels and sheets were fresh. If it weren't for the sirens going off outside it would have been as relaxing as any hotel stay I've had.

Nice hotel conveniently located

Staff was very nice and accommodating. Hotels.com showed smoking only and the hotel.com rep contacted the manager and they changed the room to non smoking in advance of my stay. Convenient off the freeway, food places nearby, clean room, great service and for the price on a big weekend couldn't be beat. The only reason I gave a 3 for overall is door access is outside. I prefer hotels where all room access is inside. Its an older hotel but kept well. Recommend if you are looking for a comfortable place to sleep and don't need frills.
