8.2/10 Very Good! (1,010 reviews)
We booked two rooms, 48 and 56, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
Room 48: The bed looked neatly made, but when we pulled back the blanket, there was a large stain on the right side of the bed. The toilet bowl and seat were stained and grimy, similar to what you might see in a poorly maintained gas station washroom. The room smelled unpleasant, the curtains were dirty, and the exhaust fan looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The entrance had cobwebs and crawling insects. On our second night, the toilet flush broke.
We requested adjoining or nearby rooms but the receptionist was not accommodating, saying it wasn't possible because they were expecting a bus full of guests who hadn't even arrived yet. The cleaning staff responded quickly, but there's only so much they can do with an old, run-down property.
Room 56: Most concerning was an exposed wire on a lamp. My daughter's boyfriend received an electric shock from it. When we reported this the next day, the response was simply, “I will inform the manager immediately to get it fixed.” There was no apology or apparent concern that a guest had actually been shocked.
This property needs serious attention to cleanliness, maintenance, electrical safety and customer service. It felt more like a run-down motel than a hotel. Based on our experience in both rooms, we would not recommend staying here
