Perfect Family Vacation Spot

This was our 2nd stay at Wave Loudest. It is such a beautiful home-and the location overlooking the ocean cannot be beat. We spent time on the deck, in the pool, and walking the beach every day. Dave, the concierge, is amazing. Any questions we had were answered immediately, and he went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful--and very spacious. The setup of the deck/pool area is very safe- it was easy to have the 2 year old run around outside without worrying about the pool.

Family fun

Lovely 2 master suites, plenty of bathrooms and a great back deck for meals, coffee and watching the babies in the pool. Very comfortable house for multiple family groups

Great Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay. The pool and deck were amazing. Relaxing and watching the waves roll in is just what we needed !! Our first time to Dauphin Island and it didn’t disappoint!

2024 Beach trip

We love the island! This is our second year. We arrived 30 mins before booking time and staff allowed us to enter the house early. We noticed some things around the house left uncleaned. Definitely had plenty of room to spread out for all of our party which included 9 adults.

Great privacy!

The house was great, it just needs some TLC around the pool area and a better cleaning crew. There was easy access to the beach and everything inside worked even the ac. Would definitely come back to the island.

Quick Memorial Day weekend getaway

This house is exactly as it is described! It was a great location for two families to enjoy. The house is located right on the beach with fabulous views. The pool was definitely a kid favorite. The house was well stocked with appliances and supplies to have a great time at the beach.

Best Vacation Ever

I will definitely be back. Such a beautiful place. Lots to do on the island and my teen even had loads of fun. Property manager was great and on the ball. He responded quickly to any question we had and was super helpful. The house was huge, clean and was everything they advertised. Cant wait to go back next year.

Despite the chilly weather it was a very good experience.

Friends trip

The property was perfect! The heated pool was amazing, even though the weather was a bit cooler we were able to enjoy everyday in the pool. The living area and kitchen provided enough space for our group of 8 to enjoy time together cooking, chatting and singing karaoke. We will definitely be repeat guests for many years to come. The quick response we received when the grill ran out of propane was proof that the management company truly strives to provide exceptional customer service.

Perfect Getaway

This house was just what we needed! It was very clean and the owner/ maintenance team we're super friendly and very responsive. There was enough room for our entire family, and no one felt crowded. The house was very clean with updated decor, and it really felt like home for us. The gated deck area separate from the pool was a perfect space for our toddler to run around outside. This made our first vacation with our 2 year old so much more relaxing. The view of the beach was amazing, and we were able to see dolphins every morning and evening. Will definitely be coming back!

Unfavorable stay

We arrived 6-17-23. We immediately noticed the house was not clean. Dave had to bring a lady out Sunday to do some cleaning. All the beds had sand in them. One upstairs bedroom has a possible roof leak. The upstairs bathroom has mildew or mold in the shower as well as loose fixtures in the shower. The entrance door needs a new back set (door knob). It is extremely difficult to open and should be considered a fire hazard. The most disturbing issue is the presence of a mouse, or mice. We had to dispose of several packages of food due to mice. We also had a storage bag we use for our dogs chewed through and out 6-year old grand daughter had a lunchbox ruined by mice. Mice can carry several different diseases and there is no excuse for us not being told about the mice problem especially considering we had children ranging in age from 9 mos. to 11 years and I know that you know about the issue. I will be happy to provide a list of what we lost if the home owner would like to reimburse us.

great location but very unclean. House in need of updating.

This is a great location with excellent views and access to the . We stayed on Dauphin Island from July 6-13. Our main concern would be the uncleanliness of the house Things we noticed were no chlorine in the pool for 3 days until we called, ill fitting bed sheets, roaches found under the bed and in bug traps, lizard found in one bug trap, bugs hanging in corners, previous guests retainer found in bed, mold in bathroom upstairs, air filter on 2nd floor had dust hanging out (unchanged)over all very dusty, the refrigerators water filter needed replacement, blood stain on couch, rear sliding door hard to open with grease in the tracks, the kitchen area floors were scratched. The kids enjoyed the pool but got slivers from the deck on their feet. We were able to contact the property manager who wanted to send out people to work. We had contact with 2 people from the property management company who exchanged a stained bedcover, tried to fix a bedroom door lock ( unsuccessful) and tightened kitchen chairs. Should be done on owners time not ours. They gave us the opportunity on Tuesday to leave early with a price reduction. We had driven for 2 days to get here It would have been difficult to find other housing on short notice for 12 family members. Our family has been coming to the Gulf Shores/Dauphin Island area for25 years. We have always enjoyed our experience. We have never seen conditions like this or need to write a review such as this. Not worth the dollar value in this condition

Fantastic Location!

So many good things to say, but first a PSA unrelated to the property, but needed for the location. Head the riptide flag warnings. The island has a system to communicate riptide levels, we had to watch a US Coast Guard helicopter land right 150 yard from the house on the beach to pick up a young lady on her senior trip that had been pulled out by a rip tide and drown. She died in a local hospital a couple days later. Riptides happen all along the coast, pay attention to the warnings, if it's a bad day, don't get in the water. Stay on the beach, or better yet enjoy the POOL! On to the location. This house is perfect. It was clean when we arrived. One thing to note this property is managed like so many by a rental company, when you book you will be contacted via email by the rental company, if you have questions you will need to reach out to them directly, we didn't get a response via the VRBO messaging center. That said, communication was great and they took care of us. The pool is fantastic and heated, it was perfect on cool days and at night. There were a couple maintenance issues when we identified on the first day, they had Dave the maintenance guy come out same day, he was fantastic and took care of everything immediately. He also took the time to talk with us about restaurant and things to do around the island. He came back a couple days later to fix the valve on the outdoor shower, when we got back he had left us a box of donuts that were amazing! Dave is fantastic, keep him around! There is a house closer to the beach, however you still have clear view of a large section of beach and you only 50-75 yards from the beach, this is beachfront living at its best. There was only one downside to the property, the internet connectivity was pretty terrible. It was impossible to stream a movie without multiple pauses, even connecting on your phone or computer to do anything was really bad. We have to power cycle the router no less than 5-10 times daily. The ISP is a dish network provider. If you are planning on working remotely from this location, it is not for you. I would love to see the owner look into a different ISP, if there is a better option than satellite dish, it should be considered. Thankfully they had a decently library of DVDs so on the rainy days we watched them instead of streaming netflix, hbomax, etc. This is a fantastic place, we hope to stop in again!
