I've stayed at the property several times whilst attending a work training event. On a number of occasions I have been allocated a room on the opposite side of the hotel from the rest of my colleagues. When I queried this at check in, I was advised there were no other rooms available.
What I also find disappointing is that one of my colleagues consistently appears to receive room upgrades, yet whenever I have politely asked, I am told that nothing is available.
During my most recent stay, after reaching down to my bag at reception, I stood up and noticed the receptionist laughing with a colleague whilst looking in my direction. Whether intentional or not, it came across as unprofessional and uncomfortable.
I have another work training session at the beginning of June and, although the Park Royal would have been the most convenient option, I have chosen to stay elsewhere instead.
If staff are going to mock or laugh at guests, I would at least expect it not to happen within view of the check in desk. Very disappointing and not the level of professionalism I would expect.
As a result, I will not be staying at the hotel again in future.
