"The staff is incredible. They are attentive, hard working and go out of their way to make sure that everyone is happy and have what they need. The standard rooms are tiny and outdated. We were moved to a larger, renovated room and it was perfect. The restaurant is excellent. Food is fresh and service is exceptional. Welcome drink and desert was lovely and the parting gift was a nice touch. Reserved transport from the airport directly with the hotel. Very convenient, reliable and efficient. No need to haggle at the airport. The driver waits for you in arrival section with your name on a sign. "

"Everything about this hotel works perfectly. The location, rooms, staff and food are exactly right. The manager, Alex, is happy to "go the extra mile" to make sure that you have what you need and that you're well looked after. His team is friendly, helpful and all seem to be very happy. This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel, and it won't be my last. Location-wise, you are in easy reach of Hoan Kiem lake, good eating places and, if you're feeling brave, the train street. I just need to say and extra 'thank you' to Alex. I don't think the word 'no' is in his vocabulary and this attitude just takes the stress out of business travel in Hanoi. When a promised delivery failed to arrive, it was Alex who go on the phone to DHL to find out what was happening and then made sure that when it did eventually appear it was sent on to my next hotel in HCMC. Exceptional service. Sure, you can stay in grander hotels in Hanoi, but you can't get much better!"

"Absolutely stunning hotel in the middle of Hanoi old quarter. Everything was so easily accessible - from the Lake to the train street and everything in between! The room was gorgeous and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a healthy selection of Vietnamese delicacies. Totally recommended!"

"We have a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The room is very clean, spacious and has all the necessary things we need for our stay. The breakfast buffet was amazing our family looked forward to it each day, they even provided a packed breakfast for us in some days when we have to leave the hotel early. The staff are very accommodating, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time in Hanoi. They are specially caring to our kids too especially when one of them was unwell after our return from Sapa. Its location is perfect, near Hoan Kiem lake, St. Joseph cathedral, there is a supermarket and a few blocks from the night market and all the amazing souvenir shops and restaurants."

"I have stayed at this hotel before and I will continue to stay here when I am in Hanoi, Vietnam!! They just got their new Breakfast room open, and it is Lovely!!! The front desk Staff went out of their way again for me!!! My flight was canceled back to the USA, so they were able to allow me to stay in my current room for two more days, which took a little effort on their part!!!! I like everything about this Hotel, but especially the STAFF!!! This is a Charming Botique Hotel!!!!!!!!"

"Had a few days stay in this hotel around the heart of the old quarters district. The rooms are clean & spacious. The front desk staffs Lisa, Thomas & Sunny are one of the most attentive & professional staffs plus not forgetting the chefs, waitress, houskeeping ladies & bellman too. The front desk staffs are helpful in arranging the transportation to the airport and well knowledge of the area including giving us advice on safety before going out. "The best hotel in Hanoi,plain and simple.But there is one thing that needs to be mentioned.On the hotel's room page it says Flexible check-in and check-out time upon availability.But don't think this is Peninsula time at the Peninsula Hotels which you can check-in as early as 8AM and check-out as late as 16PM.Since our flight to Ho Chi Minh City was very late into the night a REAL flexible check-out was very important.Because we had used Peninsula Time before, we naively thought that we could be flexible in Capella, which is known for its luxury.Turns out their check-in and check-out policies are no different from regular hotels：upon available and pay to guarantee.The hotel did offer to let us stay in the living room as long as we wanted.And the kind staffs constantly offered us free sweets and mocktails.However since we had already checked out we just didn't feel comfortable eating and drinking for free.So we just sat there for three hours with some water and final decided we just head to the airport to see if we can get on an early flight.To be clear.Normal check-in and check-out times is fine and we are totally OK with it.Just if your check-in and check-out times are no different from regular hotels, there’s no point in mention “Flexible” on the website as if it’s a selling point, right?"

"Lovely stay, lovely staff, great location. I was upgraded upon arrival, room was spacious and bathroom very modern. I slept so well! Gym on rooftop was small, but had everything you need. Breakfast was amazing! Large selection of dishes including usual breakfast items as well as more brunchy options like grilled chicken, noodle soups, stir fried veg, salads, and fruit. Staff were all so kind and lovely. Great location, walkable distance to all cool things around Old Quarter. 10/10 would recommend!"
