“As very seasoned travelers (65F & 64M) who have stayed in places all across the country, my husband & I failed to do our due diligence in reading reviews for this hotel. Many of the poor reviews are very similar to our experience. We booked this room 2 months in advance of a trip from Michigan to Virginia to see our granddaughter’s high school graduation. We traveled home from New York through Canada (5+ hour drive) to arrive at the hotel. While checking in, we were advised that the on-site……

“The staff was amazing. Friendly and very helpful. It was so clean and comfy. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to others.”

“The room and lobby were clean, but smelled of smoke. The pool had dead bugs and debris floating and on the bottom. I was uncomfortable even getting in. Pool equipment and chairs were outdated. We went down for breakfast at 9:30 to find the breakfast attendants were packing everything up although breakfast was until 10. We weren’t the only ones not able to eat. Free breakfast is great until you can’t have any. I asked for a later checkout since we arrived past 1 AM and they charged us an……

“I didn’t even stay for my visit. I walked right in the door after checking in and then I left shortly after. The most I did was take a shower in the room but left due seeing to cockroaches upon arrival.”
