“We stayed here while in the process of buying a house in Gatesville. It was home away from home and was a lovely place to relax from the stresses of life. It was clean and had everything we could have needed and more during our stay. The lake is low but we were able to hike down and explore. The house was kid friendly and had lots of books, some board games and other things to keep the kids(and adults) entertained. The owner was so very kind and responded in a timely manner. “House looks just like the pictures...beautiful! It's a bit "interesting" to get to as the last 1/4 mile or so of the road is very rough. I would suggest arriving in an SUV or something with a little more ground clearance as a lower car like a Dodge Challenger would likely bottom out on the rocks, dips, and holes. “The view of the lake is incredible! It was so relaxing to sit on the porch and enjoy the calm. The house was clean and well stocked with whatever we needed. Pots, pans, utensils, dishes and the best coffee pot we’ve had at a VRBO. The home was comfortable and had great feel. Like most lake homes, the surrounding neighborhood doesn’t always match the type of house you are headed to.
