The room, house and gardens were beautiful. The location is great to walk to music and restaurants. Communication from management was slow (no one is on site). There was a mixup with our access code and parking. We parked on the street and had no issues.

A Love Letter to Hotel New Orleans There are hotels you simply stay in, and then there are hotels that become part of the story. Hotel New Orleans belongs firmly in the latter category. From the moment you step inside, there is an unmistakable sense of place. The atmosphere carries that wonderfully intoxicating New Orleans character: romantic, mysterious, historic, and just a little bit decadent. It feels less like checking into a hotel and more like stepping into a beautifully preserved chapter of the city itself. The architecture and design strike a remarkable balance between sophistication and soul. Nothing feels sterile or overly polished. Instead, there is texture, character, and a sense that the building has stories of its own. The details invite you to slow down and actually look around. And that is perhaps what I appreciated most. Hotel New Orleans doesn’t simply accommodate you. It gives you an atmosphere to inhabit. After spending time wandering through the city, returning to the hotel felt like stepping back into a quieter world. There is something wonderfully cinematic about it, especially in the evening when New Orleans begins to take on that particular glow that makes the city feel almost dreamlike. The experience is elevated by the hospitality. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever making the experience feel formal or forced. Those little moments of thoughtful service are what transform a beautiful property very memorable.

Staff was amazing!!!! 1st room assigned: was on the top floor, narrow staircase can't fit if your over 5 1/2 ft, room does get below 70° and that's at midnight. 3rd room assigned: bed was built. 2nd room assigned: room was used but was the only room available. Made our own bed and was told we would be the first room to be cleaned at 8am. Left the room at 745am and couldn't get in until 1030. Bathroom wasn't cleaned as all the same balls of hair were still in the tub. So cleaned the bathroom ourselves too. The tub also did not drain.

Our room had a loud buzzing/humming sound that got louder when we went to bed at 11 PM on our first night. It appeared to come from either an upper floor or outside the room but not sure where or why. I recorded the sound so the dask clerk could hear it. By midnight I went to the main desk and requested another room because neither I or the wife could sleep. We were assigned another room on the same floor and no more of that issue. However, for two of the three following nights people in the next room to us would come in around 1:30 am and talk and laugh very loudly and wake us up. Both of these nights I had to bang my fist on the wall to get them to quiet down so we could sleep. Also, unbeknownst to us when we made reservations there were train tracks close to the hotel and trains went by every morning around 4 - 5 AM and blew their loud horns. We would never stay here again and do not recommend this hotel.
