Mission Espiritu Santo. I visited here while on a roadtrip to South Padre Island (way South Texas). We were taking a violinist, who lives in New York, but was born and raised just outside South Padre Island in Brownsville. You cannot take a roadtrip, without stopping along the way. Especially if you are a photographer. We stopped here and the violinist had agreed, to play, inside this Mission, while I videoed him. Hot stuff was hot—cold stuff was cold. Good assortment. Omelets were excellent. Waffle iron needs clearer instructions. Need a less sweet yogurt. Overall I give a thumbs up.

There's nothing very interesting to do in Goliad. They have a nice little bakery, maybe 2 decent dining options unique to the city, some historic sights if you're into that, and a lovely little antique shop. Besides that not much offerings.

for a dead town, it’s amazing location from coast and other cities makes a great stopping point. seems to be a lot of vacant lots and a over all clean up would help the city
