This outdated hotel has several tripping hazards with bumpy carpet. There was a bench seating area completely worn out with holes in it. The pool is a disaster, has rust everywhere the tiles have no grip whatsoever, my husband slipped just slightly and tweaked his backs, the jets on the hot tub didn’t work and the steam room was out of order, had to call twice for towels. There was a good variety of food for breakfast but were unable to keep up with the demand as they only had one worker filling and cleaning. Every surface in the room was sticky or tacky. As for the room, there was a bathroom tile that was damaged. The pull out was a very uncomfortable two inch thick spring mattress that had no sheets on it when we got there, we asked for some sheets as we couldn’t find any just a coverlet and a pillow, the staff kept fighting on us on the different places the sheets could have been instead of just brining us some as requested, we eventually got sheets by 10pm after asking for them at 3:30pm. There was one worker who was trying to be helpful and get them to come make the pull out but her supervisor said “they can do it themselves”. They also fought with us when we asked for extra towels due to the jets in the shower spraying everywhere. There was dust on the outlets and cabinets. There was some shady looking electrical work done with the microwave. The walk to the room was long, we were denied a room change.This was the second worst hotel experience in 40 years of travelling

Much improved there seems to be new staff that have trained properly they are courteous and professional.

i want to like this place as it's decent enough for the price point but lacks consistency is service. Housekeeping continues to be hit and miss, in the past they have moved me to a different room when toilet clogged and no heat in winter but on this trip on a two reservation trip I was caught off guard when they moved me for the second reservation but continuous nights. I thought they had upgraded me until the bill came and they said i had requested the upgrade through there program which I did not as would not make a lot of sense to spend almost $1k for 30 hours in a room there. The move of rooms was a pain for me and then to protest the charges and a missing credit were yet more hassle. I left this place not feeling so great this time and will be looking for alternative choices for next month when I again visit the city. This place could be much better with some attention to details and eventually a refurbishment.
