"Loved this house- absolutely gorgeous. Better than we anticipated. The layout was different than what we expected- it was hard to understand in the description so here goes: as you enter the main door, it is a split level- go upstairs to the kitchen/lliving room/main master bedroom with ensuite, and a queen size bedroom that has access to a full bathroom (that is in the hall and what you would use when in the kitchen/living room area). Go downstairs and there are 3 bedrooms- 1 has a king and an ensuite and the other two share a hall bathroom. Great sitting area with 2 couches and a tv downstairs for kids or a space to get away from the main living area. Access to back yard and hot tub and garage from lower level. "

"We enjoyed the space. There was room for everyone to enjoy each other without being on top of each other. The neighborhood was very quiet and the bubbling steam next to the house was peaceful.The beds were very comfortable. "

"Great home! We loved the location and the set up of having 6 bedrooms! The only upgrade we wanted was a queen bed instead of double in main floor small bedroom! As far as broken items: The downstairs basement slider dead bolt wouldn’t lock. ( we called at checkout to inform management ( Anita), also the shower on middle floor doesn’t drain well. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay! Kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. Really nice home for large group! Thank you!"

"We all laughed about the "free exercise" with all the stairs. Great, large, family spaces to gather through out the house.We as a group did have some concerns about the "tacks /nails" that were sticking up and coming loose on the carpets. We had lots of kids under five. Thank you"

"We had a wonderful time at Shining Shire! We chose it for its closeness to Lake Tahoe, pet-friendliness, and space for family. It didn’t disappoint! Besides the basics, we enjoyed the gourmet kitchen, downstairs home theatre, and the sauna. They even had a large pet bed ready for our dog."

"This is among the best vacation rental experiences I had, given the price range. I wanted to point out that a lot of the problems earlier reviewers pointed out have either been fixed or are not really a cause for concern. For example, during my visit, this place has been equipped with brand new high end washing machine dryer. The big fridge works perfectly. And while the main bedroom has no door, the path to it is so wounded such that there is absolutely no need to worry about people seeing it from the living room. All bedrooms are equipped with smart TVs. Just to name a few. I would definitely recommend renting with Vacasa again."
