Being in a protected bay on the Gulf side allow us to take advantage of the free Kayaks and swimming when the ocean side would have been two wavey. All staff members ranging from the people cleaning your room, maintaining the facilities or working the front desk was friendly and helpful. My only suggestion to anyone looking to stay here would be to understand where your room is going to be. A/C was good, and we really liked having a ceiling fan too. Shower was huge! But not a shelf or place to put a bar of soap or hang a washcloth. The laminate floors were very dirty, which we didn't notice until after taking showers and then getting into bed, had to get soap & water and wash them bedside, after that we just kept sandals on while in the room. The pool at Dockside (off site building) was wonderful and the pool at the main building was zero depth entry and oceanside and provided gorgeous sunset views! The on site restaurant was good and we had appetizers; drinks and breakfast there. Sadly we didn't use the offered kayaks; bikes; and paddle boards as we didn't have enough time! Still excellent to have them available to use.
