Our stay at Gran Bahia Principe Portillo unfortunately did not meet our expectations.
The rooms are extremely outdated and definitely in need of renovation. One of the biggest issues was the pungent smell coming from the sink, which was unbearable at times and made it difficult to feel comfortable in the room.
On a positive note, the workers at the buffet were very friendly and welcoming. The staff at the two specialty restaurants we visited were also great and provided excellent service.
Unfortunately, despite the friendly staff and good service in certain areas, the overall experience did not exceed—or even meet—our expectations. We were disappointed with the condition of the rooms and the overall quality of the property. Based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again.
