Seaside Rentals does not care about your safety as a single female traveler.
The property was filthy. High touch areas were caked with dirt. Bedding stained and tattered. Every window screen in the property was either missing or slashed. The sills mimicked a fly graveyard. There was a “substance” on the downstairs restroom wall. Gaps in the flooring to the subfloor. Property managers came to the property to make note of safety and cleanliness issues and informed me that they hadn’t set foot on the property in some time. Returned from an errand to find an unauthorized individual’s truck, the properties door wide open, my dogs kennel empty, my property no longer secure and a stranger claiming to be there to fix the washer (when earlier there had been an individual sent by Seaside to do the very same thing.) The individual claimed to be hired by the owner of the property. I called VRBO about my stay and they could only offer the roadblock that I had already been led down with Seaside. While away from the property my friend informed me that the individual hired by the owner had returned again with no notice. My friend denied the individual entry and after being told not to return the individual stated he would be back when a part came in. I was made aware of the washer prior to my stay and prepared to not have to use it. Seaside made it their priority to fix it during my stay regardless of my comfort and safety. I left the property days early and requested a refund only to be denied because “it was only the washer.”
