Vacation to OBX

This house was a great size for our crew. We had 7 people stay and would have had room for more to comfortably stay as well. The bedroom and bathroom setup was great, the view is beautiful and the location was nice for getting around OBX! Plenty of beach entrances nearby made beach time very easy!

Amazing property!

The place was better than advertised. All rooms were clean and spacious. The yard proved to be the focal point for our trip as it was more than accommodating for our large group. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in OBX. Thanks again to our host as they were very responsive whenever we had a question

The Perfect Place!

This house was beautiful and absolutely perfect for our destination wedding. Sueann was wonderful to work with, the house was clean, and beautiful and had everything that we needed foe our group of 12. Location is central to all the fun things we wanted to do. Bed was comfy and the ac worked Amazing. The downstairs bar was nice for our poolside days. I will absolutely be booking this home again for our next family vacation

This house was exactly as described! It was clean, beds comfy, and the backyard is amazing! I wish it was a bit closer to the beach, but it wasn’t too far, and I knew it going in.

We had a great time! The home is beautiful, very clean and was centrally located for our needs. We enjoyed the back yard with the pool, hot tub, fire pit and corn hole. Sueann was a great host and very responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend it, and if we get back to OBX would definitely stay here again.

Home was very clean upon arrival. Home owner was very responsive and easy to contact for any needs. Lots of room to spread out. Hot tub and pool were a hit with everyone. The hammock swings by the fire were so relaxing!

Fun-filled & family-friendly

We loved staying at Carolina Hooked over 4th of July week with 5 families of 3. We loved how family friendly it was. The baby gates, high chair, pack n play, fenced-in yard, pool, toys, and infinity table were amazing to keep kiddos busy. The only downfalls were the distance to beach and the sand spurs. Neither of these can be avoided or improved by the owner. Communication with owner was great and we had no issues our entire stay. Overall I would give 4.5/5 stars.

Great stay

We had 3 families stay here comfortably thanks again Mrs Myers! House was great pull out couches had food and crumbs and things in them but definitely not unexpected and not enough for us to give a bad review. Only concern was our toddler was able to open all main doors with ease child locks set up high would be a plus especially with busy street out front. But overall we would stay again for sure. Thank you

Enjoyed the house, location was too far we felt for us to go to beach. We had 4 children - 5 months to 2 yrs old. Too much work to set up every day. We enjoyed the pool at the house and the hammock swings in back yard. Glad there was a larger dining table so all the adults could sit and eat our meals together.

Family Vacation

This home is absolutely AMAZING!! The kids bunk room has been moved to the main sleeping quarters which is a great move. The outside amenities were great! Everything that you could possibly need is in the kitchen. They even provide pool floats, beach chairs, and a wagon. You literally only have to bring yourself and clothing. The view of the ocean is really only able to be seen from the 3rd floor, and you can hear the ocean at night when the traffic is next to none. The access to the beach is a little more difficult than we anticiated. But all in all, this home and the host is PERFECT!!!

Family celebration

We all had the best time! The house was clean, there was plenty of room for the 10 of us and the backyard was so much fun. We enjoyed the quick drive to the beach. The beach was not crowded and everyone was super friendly. We also walked to the beach one night, not a short walk, but a relaxing one! Try the Colington Cafe in Kill Devil Hills, amazing food, good prices, and friendly waitstaff. The Waterfront shops in Roanoke Island Festival Park, near Manteo were fun, lots of dining options there. If you want to go parasailing, go to North Beach Watersports in Corolla. It’s a drive but worth it. We would definitely come back! The owner Sueann is amazing and she was super easy to contact. Thanks again for a great time with great memories!

Great stay!

We traveled to OBX for a softball tournament in April. Unfortunately it rained just about the entire time but we are so glad we picked Carolina Hooked for our stay. We shared our stay with another couple on the team so there were 4 adults and 4 kids. Kids ranging from 10-18. They had a blast in the pool, hot tub, in the yard (with shoes on for sand spurs lol) and just all through the house. The infinity table was great! Us adults spent the whole entire first day by the fire pit in the hammock chairs! (Only day it didn’t rain) Would stay again just for that feature honestly! The house was equipped with everything you need. There was a handbook that tells you not only everything about the house but also all of the great spots to eat and play. The master bedrooms were VERY comfortable and we were thankful for good shower pressure! Would definitely stay again and hope for no rain to fully be able to enjoy the beautiful backyard. It is for sure one of a kind!

Won't be staying again

Communication with owner was great. However, the grass hadn't been cut which made it impossible to enjoy the yard. The sheets on a number of beds were filthy and needed to be rewashed. There was no linens/towels provided for either of the pullout couches. The fridge in the kitchen smelled like dead fish and the one downstairs had left over ice cream. The cleanliness was definitely subpar and I had to clean out my shower due to someone's hair being left in it. There was also dried bread found underneath one of the pull outs. Neither of the coffee machines worked.

Best rental home we have stayed at!!

We planned for all of our adult children and spouses along with grandbaby that is under 1. Would have been 11 counting the baby. We ended up only having 7 of us all adults. The check in was a breeze! Sueann answered messages within minutes!! She has been the best host we have ever had! The home was immaculate!!! Everything was thought of including 2 family size electric griddles in the kitchen!!! Plenty of dishes, utensils and even had a nice high chair and baby gate if we had needed it. It is 3 floors. The upper floor is the kitchen and living room and dining room.. plenty of room for a large family. Middle level had 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Comfortable beds!! The bottom floor had a hangout room, bedroom, bathroom, small kitchenette and washer dryer. They had an awesome game table and we loved the speakers! The pool and hot tub were very clean!!!! The yard had plenty of fun things. We did not go to the beach since we had so much fun at the house. We did go to Ocracoke which was a whole day event but so worth it! We went to the beach while there. The house is close to everything you would ever need! Book this place. You won’t regret it! In fact I booked our stay for next year while we were still on our trip. We just got back a little while ago and already miss this place.
