Relaxing, peaceful retreat without entirely leaving civilization behind
Great spot, tucked back in a quiet, secluded neighborhood but close enough to anything you might need. Property is exactly as described and pictured; the kitchen is well stocked for cooking and serving, appliances and bathrooms are modern and updated. Very comfortable - beds were fantastic, large patio deck great for casual wildlife watching. Saw a variety of birds up close and personal, including a roadrunner and a juvenile red-tailed hawk that perched right off the porch for quite some time, and a group of white-tailed deer. Internet was plenty for streaming entertainment or work from home video conferences. Host was great, communicative and answered any questions promptly. Definitely would stay again!

Comfy Home
We loved the house, but the neighborhood was unsightly and disruptive. We were disappointed that there were no lake views through beautiful windows and off spacious decks.

This home is just as the pictures show. It is very clean, quaint and cozy. Perfect location from town. We have enjoyed the quiet and being super clean is ALWAYS a plus! Sherry is very responsive and very nice! We will rent from her again if the need arises.

Great house!
Very nice house and perfect for what we needed. My son had a fishing tournament in Livingston and this house was close to the marina. The house was all updated and we loved the couch super comfy! Will stay again for future tournaments.

Girls weekend
We really enjoyed our visit to Lake Livingston. The house was cozy but felt fresh and updated. We were very comfortable. Neighbors are close in rear and on one side but minimal impact on our stay. Our group all agreed we would stay here again if we returned to the area.

The inside renovation is very nice. And, the property owner did tend to our requests. However, the outside porch areas needed sweeping because of spiders. The outside furniture needed cleaning. There was a presence of spiders inside as well. The neighbors’ properties need much renovation . Perhaps tall shrubs on the side and back would be beneficial.

Overall a great location
This house is as advertised. It is newly renovated, clean and well stocked. I really loved how there were shampoos, toothbrushes, and other toiletries stocked in each bathroom in case you forgot to bring something. The beds were comfortable and the overall ambiance relaxing. My only cautions to future renters are the following. We picked this house because it advertised 2 kayaks. We owned 2 and wanted 2 extra for our boys. The kayaks provided are not a high quality and did not fare well in the choppy lake. In addition, these kayaks didn't come with life vests. You must bring your own. Also, the houses immediately behind have dogs that barked often when we arrived and sometimes throughout the night. These houses are very close and are not pictured in any of the photos on this site. Just be aware. Other than these two concerns, this house was cute, warm, and everything we hoped for. Our family had a nice time just being together and enjoying the beauty of the lake and surrounding forest.
