The patio was not clean, garbage lying around and filthy chair cushions, and two of the three bathrooms were not cleaned. The kitchen stove and fridge were dirty. The host said that it was hard to get cleaners in that area."

"Our reservations were canceled after we had received confirmation notice and instructions on how to enter the property. We were sent a welcome notice from the owner, but later told that the renters in the property wanted to extend their stay, so we were left out in the cold. We ended up having to rent motel rooms while waiting for our credit card to be released after we had been charged for the stay. We ended up in motel rooms for 12 nights instead of a house we had reserved."

"2 TVs in the living room: one didn't work and one only got a few channels. Need to have soft, fluffy towels and a sheet of guidelines that tell what to do when checking out. Strip beds? etc."

I messaged the owner asking to cancel and asked for a refund even though I knew the policy was no refund. We had reserved on Friday for a Sunday check-in and I was messaging Saturday early morning. I too am a VRBO owner and have shown mercy for an unexpected emergency. However the owner was delayed in any response and eventually stop communicating.
