From the time we walked in, it felt like Great location and the neighborhood was very quiet.The fenced in yard was a plus for the dogs. Would highly recommend. We're hoping to return next year.

Far exceeded our expectations!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this property. Perfect for families with pets. The host went above a beyond anything we expected (or have experienced) at other properties. The home is unbelievably well equipped and ready for anything we needed. We’ve never booked the same property twice, but we’re already planning to rebook this property for the upcoming summer!

Spacious and well-appointed

Our family group of six adults stayed over a holiday weekend. Multiple sitting areas inside and out provided room for togetherness and for solitude. It's ideal fo people who like to cook -- the kitchen had everything! We liked the split floor plan, with the master bedroom at one end of the house and the other bedrooms at the opposite end. The outdoor was just as thoughtfully equipped as the inside, and our host made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful

The house was beautiful, it had everything you needed and I mean everything. We even had a little welcome package and I thought that was very nice. The only down fall was the weather but we still enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend this property to anyone, it was just beautiful.

Amazing!!

Vacationing at Moonshadow is fabulous!! It feels like coming home, to the beach. They thought of everything to make it comfortable. Our favorites included the fully equipped kitchen, beautiful ocean view from every room, outdoor living area, outdoor shower, and by far the cleanest place we have every stayed. The fenced in area was a bonus for our fur baby. Such a great place to enjoy the beach!!

Best Place Ever!

I have been using VRBO for 15-plus years and have stayed in many houses, usually twice a year. This beach house is by far the best place for my family! The graciousness and communication with the host is absolutely superior! The location is perfect and right on the beach. The amenities are perfect! If you love to be in a private and quiet place away from crowds and loud noises, this is the place for you! The house on the beach with a lovely boardwalk right out to the beach! The outdoor area is amazing! We love Alligator Point and will definitely be coming back for years to come!

Best Stocked Rental Ever

They have really thought of everything, from the welcome bottle of wine and eggs to the bar and the well stocked bathrooms. We had everything we could need and more. The house is amazing and the beach is beautiful. The local parrot, Marley, was a hoot and really confusing to our dogs. Our only complaint is that the water is not clear, so this beach isn't really good for swimming, though the dogs sure enjoyed it!

Beyond Expectations!

I’ve looked forward to this trip for about a year. Arriving at the house I was blown away at the attention to detail by the amenities, decor and special touches made to make me and my family feel welcome. We love the area and have come for years. I rent homes several times a year and this one by far has been the best for me and my family so much so we’ve reserved it again for next year. The home is everything and more in the description. The master features a bathroom that is accommodating to some that might have minor mobility issues with bars in the shower. The downstairs shower was amazing and helped with the number of folks we had it served as an extra shower. Additionally my family includes our furbabies and we were allowed to have them all with us. The home is so great with a fenced yard for them to play as you hang out in the amazing downstairs outside area! Lastly the owner is a woman that exemplifies honesty and integrity. I didn’t realize I reserved the house for an extra night (a Sunday) and thought I’d reserved Saturday to Saturday. When she brought it to my attention after letting them know we’d left the home, she immediately said she’d refund me the night. This she did not have to do as it was my mistake but we’d already left and were several hours away. She did refund me and I was so grateful! She is definitely and honest and wonderful host! I’d recommend her and this home to anyone looking for a nice family getaway!

The place was extremely well stocked actually stock better than most any other place that we’ve ever

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and all the amenities that they had to offer the outdoor shower was fabulous walks on the beach or Fabolous. We definitely plan on coming back.

Very Considerate

This property is well taken care of with a lot of thought put into having anything you need available. The space under the house is also designed to be very usable. Much thought has been put into providing for the renter's needs.

Moonshadow was a wonderful beach property.

The week my family and I spent in Moonshadow was all pleasure. The secluded beach was wonderful and the host provided lots of beach toys to make sure we enjoyed every second of it. But the house was the star of our vacation. Completely as described. Super clean. Everything in the house was high quality and in perfect condition. Plus the host includes so many extras that we’ve never encounter in a vacation rental before. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful house with us.

Fabulous!

Property was one of the cleanest and comfy beach houses we have ever rented. We met the owners upon arrival. You can tell they really care and take pride in making your stay perfect. ** everything you could need was provided and in great condition. You have to see for yourself. ** outdoor showers amazing, one closer to the sand and another under the outside area with cool jets. Not your average outdoor shower! ** Very comfortable beds. ** Beach was so nice , we almost had to ourselves most of the time.

One of the best places we have ever stayed

This was one of the best places. Very clean and well taken care of. The beach was amazing and the view from the house was amazing. The owner and property manager were both very kind and responsive. We will definitely be going back.

Epic spot!

This house was exactly what we were looking for - a quiet, beachfront house where we could go to sleep listening to the waves. But it went beyond that. The hosts literally thought of everything. The place is so well designed and super comfortable - from the couches to the beds, and all the fun features (outdoor shower, tiki bar, multiple seating areas). It's also extremely dog friendly. The one thing to note about the general area is that it is somewhat remote and very quiet. For us, that was a good thing. If you're someone who's into shopping, dining and night life, it's not going to be a good fit. We drove 15 hours each way to get to this spot and it was worth every aching body part :). I'd go back again in a heartbeat. Such a special spot.

Wonderful place and perfect for family getaway!!!

Moonshadow is a wonderful place and a perfect family getaway. Place was immaculate and plenty of space for everything to have their space and fun activity and at the end of the day a place for the family to have dinner together. Morning walks on the beach was peaceful and amazing sunset views. Very happy with the place and the hosts as well as the property manager were wonderful. Will return again.

Immaculate and Comfortable Beach House

The beach house at Alligator Point was one of the nicest VRBO places we have stayed. The house was perfectly clean and maintained, was well "kitted out" with anything you might need for cooking or relaxing, and is in a fabulous location. Communication from the host and manager was excellent. Overall, a great property in a great place.

Christmas get away

Well appointed, clean, with wide variety of appliances. Fenced yard a plus. Easy access to beach. Cars can park under home. Easy to unload and load. Very pleased with stay.

October Beach Trip

Moonshadow is by far the best home/vacation rental that we have ever visited! The house is immaculate, and the attention to detail and furnishings are unbelievable. All you need to pack for your stay is clothing and food! We had a blast catching shrimp and fish off of the beach. We also brought our boat to fish for red fish and trout. Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moonshadow and Alligator Point. Time passes like the blink of an eye on the beach. We cannot wait to return!

The location and the beach were private and I liked the layout of the house. Hurricane Sally was not very pleasant,but we did have one nice beach day on Friday !

A Jewel in Wild Florida

MoonShadow far exceeded our expectations! This beautifully designed and equipped property shares the beach with far more wildlife than people - the perfect respite for social distancing in nature amidst a pandemic. MoonShadow greeted us with gorgeous outdoor living and dining areas overlooking windswept seagrass and coastline sky. There are more than thirteen comfortably designed areas to congregate, read, write or just watch the ever-changing environment. Every day we witnessed dolphin feeding with their young and dozens of pelicans diving, coasting or floating in large groups just off shore. The kids had a wonderful time creating habitats for crabs and creatures and hunting for lovely smooth sea glass. The kitchen is equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and cookware and the bedrooms were exceedingly comfortable and inviting. On our one short excursion we investigated Bald Point State Park. We explored the expertly designed walk into an untouched Florida wetland, granting us even more encounters with wildlife of the gulf coast. Alligator Point is as untouched as one can get along Florida's Forgotton Coast. Moon Shadow is a jewel amidst this wild and free feeling area. We will definitely return!
