“We had such a lovely stay at Nuaku! The hotel is tucked away in the middle of a beautiful, lush jungle, surrounded by wildlife, greenery, and all the wonderful sounds of nature. The property felt very peaceful, clean, and safe, and throughout our stay we genuinely felt at home.
The staff made our experience especially memorable. Francisco, the manager, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and hospitable. He was always willing to help and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. We truly……

“The views were gorgeous. The overall setting was amazing and the restaurant next door was very helpful. Communication for anything you need at the room could be finicky.
Overall pretty good place to stay, close to La Fortuna.”

“Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!”

“We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. Highly recommended and we hope to be back one day. Muchas gracias!”
