"Grace and Danny at reception were so inviting and very helpful. A bit far from town but a shuttle is offered to and from the beach everyday for guests. I recommend getting dinner at the hostel because the food was amazing every night. Very social and the pool was great to hangout by for a chill day. "

"I stayed at Nakanku Lodge from mid January to mid February 2024 accompanied by my little Maltese dog, Lulu. Everything was wonderful! The tropical garden setting was beautiful. I loved the pool and easy proximity to beaches. The outdoor kitchen was so fun as it generated opportunities for community and conversations with other guests. Gary was a super host! Hope to return next winter! Pura vida!"

"Small, cozy, friendly, quiet....we stayed for a month in the jungle of Guanacaste with Gary and his dog, Wally! The pool is wonderfully shady in the afternoons, Gary is a warm and friendly host, helpful and kind. We were looking for someplace near to beaches, great sunsets, and no crowds....meeting the locals, shopping the local markets, etc. This is the perfect spot to just sit back and relax."

"Simply a beautiful hotel with an amazing swimming pool, swim up bar & a million dollar view with each hotel room facing the ocean. The all you can eat breakfast buffett was superb. Unlimmited drinking water availiable by the elevator. Javiro at the hospitality excursion desk was absolutely fabulous; such a kind & genuine human being! He even gave me his phone number in case of an emergency! He arranged an excursion for me including a coffee/sugar cane tour, horseback ride, 8 zip lines, waterside down the mountain, mud bath, hot springs & waterfall with an AMAZING buffett Lunch at the top of the mountain. They also provided transportation to and from the hotel and was about 11 hours of fun! Javiro's son Sebastian took me on the excursion & he was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and I felt very safe & protected. He even stopped at a gift shop with samples of coffee & chocolate & Walmart for us & was so patient & kind to us. $190 US for the entire day. There is a shuttle leaving the hotel every hour to take us to Tamarindo, 1 stop in the town and 1 stop at the beach resort. My shuttle driver Randal was THE BEST!!!! He was so kind & hospitable, & we had great conversations on all the trips. Staying at the Wyndham was an effortless experience as the staff were very friendly and provide you with everything you will need. Muchas Gracias for an experience of a lifetime. "We would definitely stay here again! We had the superior king room. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of outlets. Had one outlet in the restroom I had to use for everything. The two in the bedroom were too complicated to access. Not a complaint- just something to note. Absolutely loved the bathroom window. I would open it each morning to listen to the birds 😊 The included breakfast was delicious! We had the Costa Rican breakfast each morning. Staff were friendly and helpful. "
