"Great place to stay. Very clean and quiet. Cabin is small and perfect for two people. We stayed in the Nut House. The bathroom is very clean but very small. If you are much over 6 foot or 200lbs the shower is going to be a tight fit. Not an issue but something to consider. Overall it was a great cabin to stay in. "

"This cabin shows all the signs of being well loved. Everything guests could need has been anticipated, from a tea kettle to toilet paper. Comfortable, cozy, and spotlessly clean describes the place. Our dog even loved the lion statues out front. Last winter was especially hard on our family. We had to cancel once due to health problems, and the owner graciously helped us rearrange our plans. The opportunity to enjoy some quiet time in a charming cabin was just what we needed."

"We enjoyed the property and found it quite comfortable and cute. The water pressure was not good but we kind of expected that. The biggest issue was the # of mosquitos - even with bug spray on they were relentless so it lessened out time outdoors. We also had difficulty finding Pilot Ridge Rd. The sign is visible from one direction but not the other."

"I read all the reviews for this cabin and it was exactly as described. Very private and quiet. My husband, myself and our dog enjoyed ourselves very much. I was a little worried about the bathroom because of some of the reviews but we had no complaints at all. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Location is great, very close to the Watauga River Park and original Mast General Store with a short 15 min drive to Boone. Communication with the host was quick and consistent. We reported a couple issues that were present upon arrival and the host offered to have them fixed during our stay: 1) screen on the patio door was coming out of its frame 2) and patio fire pit...

"Overall I'm glad we picked this hotel. The staff at the hotel were super nice! The floor in our room was a bit squeaky, but we barely heard anything from the floor above us. The pool was a very comfortable temperature and the sauna felt good. They had a heavy snow early on the day we checked in, so we were glad to have a lower level to park in!"
