“I want to start off by saying we did not feel unsafe at all! Some of these reviews are dramatic. It is behind an older hotel but it’s not scary and no one is going to get you. Cabin was new and clean. The door lock batteries died and we couldn’t get in but they came out to fix it within 5 minutes. I messaged the host on here a couple times and didn’t get any reply back so communication wasn’t that great. I would suggest to add a full length mirror, hooks for towels and a broom for indoors. “This property was very nice with all the amenities you could ask for and it was close to everything in the area, but still somewhat secluded. The owner was very attentive and quick to respond. Would stay again.”

“The cabin is so cozy as well as clean and well equipped. We also enjoyed having campfires in the backyard. We were a comfortable driving distance from the ferry to Mackinac Island, beaches, Headlands International Dark Sky, MacGulpin Lighthouse and shopping at Mackinaw City. Mike is a great host, available if we needed something. We would highly recommend a stay at this cabin.”

“This property doesn't have direct lake access, but it is nearby lots of quaint beach heads and ferries to the island. Reasonable amenities, reasonable hosts that aren't weirdos, very quiet area. Beds were absurdly comfortable. Everybody slept great!”

The back room would not warm up with door shut and shaking and rumbling all night long from heater hooked on hitch of house. Very hard sleeping but not sure in summer if this would be the same with air. Overall could lower price for late fall as there were vacancy all over mackinaw city for next time!!”
