Pope's Tavern Museum Tours

We had a room on the top third floor that had been recently renovated. It was very nice. Our granddaughter had left her stuff bunny in the bed. House keeping found it and took it to the front desk. They called us and kindly will be sending back to her. So that made our trip even better. We had all enjoyed the Dismal Canyon the evening we stayed there. It was great to have a clean room after the night tour. The staff there was the best!

The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is polite and helpful. Great bar! Our second trip to the Gunrunner and we will be back!

Our stay last night was very unpleasant. We were super excited about our stay with you all, as the hotel is very quaint and has so much character and charm. The hotel was also extremely convenient for a wedding we attended just a few blocks away. However, our room was extremely loud, as the wall of our headboard backed up to the club, FloBama, directly next door. The music went on until after 2:00 AM, and the traffic noise (e.g., honking horns, motorcycle traffic, screaming and yelling) continued for hours later. I regret staying at your location, and will advise others against it as well. There should be a warning so guests can expect to be unable to sleep until after 3 AM. The money we paid for the room was extremely overpriced, and I sure wish we could receive a refund or discounted rate, as we were unable to sleep at all and left before 7 AM, so we could come home to TN and sleep in our own quiet bed.
