This cozy home has been completely remodeled. It's efficient space and good design can accommodate up to 4 guests. Park your vehicle and never leave this place since you can walk to the Marina and eat at their restaurant, enjoy live music on the weekends, take your boat out from their boat ramp and fish on their lighted fishing deck. The Marina is definitely "Where the action is".
Indianola, Powderhorn and Magnolia Beach are rural Bay communities of Port Lavaca, TX that is perfect to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Driving down Ocean Drive will give you a sense of being in a peninsula with Matagorda Bay on one side and Marsh Land and Bayous on the other side. The sittings of different variety birds are unreal. This is a true disconnect type of place, so even though is ideal for fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking, biking, birding you will need to bring your gear as there are not commercial rental places around. It's important that you bring water shoes to get in the water or walk the shore since our public beach has tiny Sea Shell as sand.
This area is loaded with Texas History since in the 1800s, many German immigrants came through the Indianola Port. The port was destroyed by several hurricanes in the late 1800s, pushing many of the settlers to move inland. You can still drive by the ruins of the Court House of the growing town that once was.
You are welcome to bring your toys: Fishing gear, Golf cart, Bikes, Boat, Kayaks our community allows their use with common sense rules. 4 Wheelers are NOT allowed on the beach.
You will need vehicle to drive to pharmacy, groceries or department stores.
Must be 23 years or older to be able to book the property. Must send a picture of a valid ID directly to host. Host will not give access to the guest without receiving the ID.
UNREGITERED GUESTS: Only guests registered on the reservation are the amount of guests allowed at the property at any given time. Having more guests than what the reservation was made for is a violation to the Reservation Agreement and House Rules, charges of $75/per additional person per night will be assessed or immediate termination of your stay and there will be NO refund.
RESERVATIONS LONGER THAN 28 DAYS: Guests will be required to complete and deliver to the host a signed lease agreement, a questionnaire with personal information and a security deposit before Move-In day.
USE OF THE OWNER'S PERSONAL PIER: The owner's of the home live next door and have a personal pier that they give access to their guests staying at any of their 7 rentals on this location. Owner has the right to deny access to guests that do not follow the following common sense guidelines:
1) Only guests registered on the reservation can have access to Owner's Personal Pier. Friends/Family of the guests not registered to stay at the vacation home may NOT access/use Owner's Personal Pier.
2) Keep the gate of the pier locked at all times.
3) The use of the pier is not exclusive for this listing, owners share it with other vacation homes, we expect our guests to be kind and considerate of the fishing space other guests are using. Occupying all of the rod holders by one guest is not acceptable.
4) Dispose of any leftover bait in the bay, do not leave it on the cutting table or place it on trash cans.
5) Before leaving the pier, remove from the water any bait buckets, fish on strings or crab traps.
6) Clean your area before leaving the pier and take any trash you created with you.
NO PETS: Any pets in the unit will result in a fine of $250.00, and immediate termination of guest's stay without refund.

of ANY kind in the house or near doors. If smell or burnt marks are found in the property, host will seek a $500 cleaning fee plus any additional costs of replacing the damaged property. Smoking Marijuana on the property grounds will result in immediate termination of guests' stay, without refund.
We have no tolerance for criminal behavior. Any illegal activities, acts of violence, loud arguments or fighting will result in immediate termination of your stay and there will be no refund. The same is true if the police is called to the unit.
The space will be in clean and working condition. No compensation will be given for non-working items outside the owner's control, including but not limited to: power outages, internet outages, etc. For items inside the owner's control, owner will make every attempt to rectify any problems that may occur. It is Guest's responsibility to notify the owner IMMEDIATELY if there are any problems and allow owner to rectify the issue. No refunds or other compensations will be given for problems owner is able to rectify within a reasonable time frame or if the issue was notified to the owner after the guest stay ended.
Guests will be responsible for costs of any repairs for problems caused by actions of Guest, pet or any one in their group.
Check-In is at 4:00 PM and Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Time before Check-In or after Check-Out can only be arranged the night before. In the case that extra hours are approved, guests agree to pay $30 per extra hour. Payment must be received by Host before the additional time can be in effect.
Do not clean fish inside the rental. Dispose fish, fish parts or bait in the bay, NEVER IN ANY TRASH CONTAINERS.
Quiet hours are from 11 PM - 9 AM. This rule does not apply during Holidays such as Independence Day or New Year’s Eve, the whole community will be celebrating.
Guest and guest's invitees shall fully defend, indemnify and hold harmless the owners, managers and business entity acting on behalf of the owners from any and all claims, lawsuits, demands, causes of action, liability, loss, damage and/or injury, of any kind whatsoever (including without limitation all claims for monetary loss, property damage, equitable relief, personal injury and/or wrongful death) for the use of the property as vacation home, amenities, facilities, grounds, fishing pier and/or equipment used during guests stay while on our property or outside of our property. The indemnification applies to and includes, without limitation, the payment of all penalties, fines, judgements, awards, decrees, attorneys' fees, and related costs or expenses, and any reimbursements for all legal fees, expenses, and costs incurred by it.
