The rooms are beautifully designed and comfortable—if you can, choose a ground floor room for an expansive patio and stunning bay views! I loved that AWOL is about a 20-25 minute walk to the downtown area—it gave the hotel a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, especially in the evenings beneath the stars. Being next to the National Seashore is a huge plus, and the free bikes provided by AWOL are perfect for exploring the surroundings. "What a hidden gem! Literally 1-1/2 blocks to the center of town with the shopping, bars, restaurants and a small beach! You can even walk to the harbor and jump on a boat to go whale watching. The hotel itself is charming with a courtyard, hot tub and a little bar and restaurant.(open Wednesday- Sunday but breakfast which was Amazing is served daily on the patio. So quaint, with such a welcoming staff. We will definitely stay again whenever we are in P-Town! "
