Car Rental Retiro

Once you've ticked off the great places in Retiro, there's a lot more to see in the surrounding region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and get out on the open road. We've pulled together some road trips we know you'll enjoy:

• You'll discover Our Lady of Lujan Cathedral and many other amazing attractions in Luján. From Retiro, it's about 45 miles away.
• Why not see the wonders of La Plata too? Popular attractions in this vibrant city include Cathedral of La Plata. La Plata is roughly 35 miles from Retiro.
• Spend time in the great outdoors and appreciate the serenity at Pinamar Beach. You'll find it about 190 miles from Retiro.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Argentina, then it's likely you'll need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. A few other things to note to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before driving away. With rental cars, you usually can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or go off-roading with a rental car.
