I certanily going to cut expedia loose. they do not know what going on we got booke in a hotel swarming with aunts, two hotels under construction ........that was on expedia.....expediambooked us a room in the Avery and the room was so small both of us could not be comfortable for two nights ....again on expedia...the hotel is vintage, is beautiful and has a geniune warmth to it with a taste of the past. The staff , without hesitation upgraded us to a beautiful room. This will be a place I will return to . The stAFF TOOK CARE OF ME, NOT EXPEDIA

I travel constantly and rarely leave reviews…especially not 5 star reviews but this place was perfect! Loved my room, loved the location. It’s walking distance from live music, the best cider place I’ve ever been to (Meriwether), restaurants and shopping. The staff was kind and even the available drinks in the shop on site were great.

When we booked this room, we thought "Red Lion! These are always nice!" The lobby was clean, but when we got off the elevator, we were shocked. The carpet in the hallway wa filthy and held together by large strips of blue tape. The hallways smelled like smoke, even though we were in a non-smoking room. The room itself was ok. When we got up in the morning to shower, there was no hot water. When we informed the desk clerk, he apologized but didn't do anything else. Definitely wouldn't stay there again.

The room was big and all rooms hallways and elevators were clean. Breakfast was fine but could have used a slightly larger selection of menu items. The only issues were with the bathroom door did not slide shut without a sliver of visibility into the bathroom. Also the shower door did not have a complete seal or catch to keep the door flush with the other panel.
