R HOUSE on Steps Beach in the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve

Relax at this award winning beachfront rental, located on Tres Palmas Marine Reserve, only 30 minutes from the Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN) in Aguadilla or 2 hours from the Luiz Munoz airport in San Juan.

The ground floor rental unit has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen and living room and outdoor dining that has ocean and sunset views. Air conditioning in all the bedrooms. Sleeps 4-6 people.

In the event of a water utility outage there are over 1000 gallons of cistern water that will flow into the property.

Enjoy beautiful sunsets every evening, world class snorkeling and scuba diving right in front of the house with turtles, exotic fish and the largest elkhorn coral reef in the Caribbean. Stunning views of Desecheo island, whale sightings occur throughout the winter months and world class surfing can be had at Tres Palmas Beach. Take a short walk to other surf spots such as Dogmans, Maria's and Domes.

Fall asleep in the outdoor hammock or enjoy organic herbs from R garden while barbecuing with friends and family in the backyard. Head out to the many local restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you are looking for something to do other than surf, try scuba diving, sailing, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, shopping, movies and many more activities within minutes of the house.

The property is pet friendly, but please one DOG only. You are required to keep your pet off the furniture and must pick up any mess left in the yard or surrounding area.

In case of a power outage the house counts with solar backup power.

Location! Location! Location.

This was my second stay at R House and it did not disappoint. The house backs up to a sweet little beach next to Steps beach. It’s perfect for lingering days and evenings enjoying the tide pools, snorkeling the reef and enjoying sunsets. The hosts have thoughtfully provided everything you need inside as well. Will definitely return!

Perfect spot for family of four. Quiet, right on Steps beach with access to snorkeling and swimming. Close to town for shopping. Highly recommend!

Great for beach vacation--not a luxury listing

This is a great place to stay that's literally right on the beach. Lots of perfect amenities like an outdoor shower, tons of beach towels, a boogie board, an outdoor patio. But note that the stay is not luxury, the kitchen is basic, the furniture is basic. If that's what you're looking for (amazing beach access, basic furnishings), you honestly couldn't find a more perfect place. We loved it.

Beautiful

This is a great location. The ocean was quite rough for our young kids, but there is a great, calm bay just down the beach for swimming and even a little snorkeling. This rental is the lower level of an occupied second story. The occupants upstairs were very kind and helpful, but we also heard them and their dog upstairs most of the time that we were in the home.

Great Location & Accommodations

We recently returned from our second trip to Rincon, first time staying at "R" Beach House. The house is located right on the beach where a little tide pool forms. Great for small kids who aren't big enough to play in the ocean. The house is within walking distance to a few restaurants (Shipwreck, Black Eagle) and a fantastic little authentic empanadilla stand for lunch. Also within a few minute drive from anywhere else you may want to go...grocery store, other beaches, dining options, etc. The house is stocked with everything you could need...flashlights, board games, videos, towels, snorkeling gear, beach chairs. Both bedrooms benefit from the sounds of the ocean while you sleep. Ali and Leon were helpful in finding us a babysitter, giving us recommendations, etc. Overall, we had an amazing time and will be back again.

A Place Where You Can Create Lasting Memories

We have been visiting R House for the past 15 or so years. This is the only place where we have found the peace and solitude that we craved. You will not be bothered by your landlord or anybody else for that matter. You do not have to engage with anyone unless you choose to do so. The two-bedroom cottage is always very clean and laid out in a very efficient manner. There are no steps to negotiate. The kitchen is complete with everything you need to set up housekeeping at whatever level you choose, or you can visit the several cafes and restaurants only a short drive from the "House." There is one very nice restaurant within a short walking distance along the beach from the House. We have eaten there several times. There is strong Wi-Fi service and your cell phones works too. The picture you see depicting this location does not do it justice. Each evening you can watch the sun descend into the ocean and the beach is only 20 yards from your back porch!! The bedrooms are air conditioned, but we have never utilized the air conditioning. The days are warm and breezy. The community of Rincon is a small and very friendly place. It is very quiet. This is not Myrtle Beach, SC. There are no amusement parks or putt-putt golf courses. Everyone speaks English and everyone smiles and will engage you in a very peaceful relaxed atmosphere. My wife and I strongly recommend you consider this your vacation location and seek accommodations early since the House fills up every year. We will return to "R" House in a heartbeat!!!

Our family loved our time at the R House! You can't get any closer to the water, just steps from the back yard. The location was really what sold us on choosing this spot. The shallow tidal pools were perfect for our youngest kid, while the older ones enjoyed snorkeling. Other places we explored around Rincon were just a short drive away. The house had everything our family of five needed to enjoy our stay. From the comfortable rooms, to all the beach amenities which made our stay more enjoyable. We'd definitely consider staying here again if we're ever in the area again.

Just Perfect

The property is incredible. It is simple, perfectly nestled amongst the palms and lush vegetation that lines the shoreline. The condo itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Open windows with the pleasant sea breezes during the day and air conditioning provided for the bedrooms at night. Walk out the back door and you are just a few steps to the beach. There is great snorkeling down the beach at steps, tide pools for the babies, and scenic views everywhere you look. You can cook at home or have dinner in the nearby town. The grocery store was close by and offered everything you need. The owner was gracious and helpful. Being environmentally conscious was a bonus. Thank you for providing a safe, wonderful location for our family vacation.

Great place great location

This was a great place for us to stay for a short beach vacation. Very well equipped, comfortable bed and lots of good amenities. We enjoyed our stay and puppy chulas visits were awesome. Resident dog! The owners were friendly. The location was nice for walking and laying on beach but not ideal for swimming in the ocean. The beach front was rocky and difficult to get in the water. Not too far if you didn’t mind walking for easier access. There are sea urchins all over the rocks too which is part of what made it difficult to navigate. But the house was great and we had a good time. Also to note air conditioning was in bedrooms but no where else - just in case that’s necessary for some. It had a great island life vibe though. Just wanted to be honest about things if there are people looking for something specific.

This is a wonderful unit in an exceptional location. Quiet neighborhood right on the beach. Apartment was clean and tastefully appointed. Kitchen was well stocked and organized. Private back patio was perfect for hanging out and the beach was absolutely beautiful with a relaxed vibe. Great snorkeling right in front of the house on calm days. Great hosts as well. Hard to imagine anyone being in anyway disappointed with this rental.

Amazing location, super cute and comfy stay.

This place was tucked into a cute town on the surfing side of the island. Incredible beach step from the door for morning coffee. Walk to dinner or drinks. I highly recommend. We had my spouse and I, 3 teens (2 boys 1 girl). We were all pretty comfy.

Wanderlust Wonderland

Absolutely amazing experience. The morning coffee on the beach with the soothing waves. Snorkeling around the extensive reefs of the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve right from your backyard! Conveniently walk for coffee or smoothies. Excellent access to surf at Sandy Beach or Domes. This beautiful home has everything you need. The owner was so friendly and helpful. I will miss RHOUSE :)

Great Beachside Getaway!

We had a fabulous stay at the R-House. The unit was spacious and very well stocked with everything you need for the house and the beach. We loved the location on Steps Beach, where you are only a short walk from a coral reef for snorkeling (gear provided with the house!). And the house is a short walk or drive from a number of other beaches and food options. Very quiet neighborhood made for a relaxing visit in Rincón.
