We had a very clean room, comfortable beds and and liked the pool area and outdoor space. The cafe was ok but quite limited. The shower was also a bit awkward and it got the entire bathroom floor wet.

Staff are amazing!

I stayed at the Sterling Hotel for one night. I stayed in the deluxe queen room. My room was at best decent. The room was in need of a better cleaning, better decor, had some chips and dents, the TV didn't have anything to access to watch anything, staff isn't around after 4pm, and I think that they can do better! I couldn't get the jet on the Jacuzzi tub to turn on and I texted the number that was given and got no response. They didn't acknowledge my text at all during my stay. It would be helpful if staff was available for at least a few hours during the evening time to help customers. When I checked in they should have included instructions on the Jacuzzi tub. They say that they are operating like a bed and breakfast when there is NO breakfast. Coffee was available in the lobby and in the room. I think they could have spared a few more k-cups for the Keurig and I had to go down to the lobby to get more coffee. They could have included sugar too! I also think they should have included a lamented sheet or binder of restaurants and things to do nearby. It would have made my stay easier to navigate. I'm disappointed in the lack of service. I really believe that they can do better!!!

This is a moderately priced place with excellent location in the middle of Tahoe city and across the street from an excellent beach. Rooms are small and there is a closet w a few hangers and no drawers so if you have kids you’re stuff will be everywhere. We were there three nights. The room wasn’t serviced while we were there so maybe you have to ask them to clean it and for extra towels etc. Pillows were pretty bad. Ac kept it pretty cool. Restaurant is next door and was good w great value for money esp these days when prices are silly. Quality of food was great, drinks were well priced and great. We only did breakfast once and that was a little shambolic. Only one server and she had too much to handle. We ordered French toast which they served w honey because the kitchen ran out of syrup, so i just walked over to Safeway and bought some syrup cuz French toast with honey is weird and w nothing it’s just soggy bread. She wasn’t too fussed either way. In any case the place did what we needed it to do. There’s a sauna which I like but not in summer. Tahoe is amazing so honestly we could have been camping on the beach and it would have been fine.
