"This is a perfect property for travelers needing access to the San Jose Airport and many car rental companies. The property is gated, with street parking in front of the facility. The open kitchen allows guest access to use of fridge, microwave, coffee and water and eating area. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable with spacious bathrooms. No AC but ceiling fan in room. Note that this is a CASH only facility which caught me by surprise. The host was also gracious to allow us to drop luggage...

"Ken and Alejandra have built a mountain paradise. The accommodations are first rate and their grounds are amazing. The breakfasts are excellent with fresh grown and made foods. It is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. They are in the mountains north of San Jose. We had a rental car and no problems moving around. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Finca Paraiso!"

What we did not like is the fact they charge a substantial fee for late arrival (we arrived around 11pm). We also felt pressured when we inquired about renting a car with them, and decided not to since they could not send a contract."
