We've stayed there many times and is one of our go-tos. Room was very clean. The gentleman at the front desk is so friendly and helpful. Its super close to Cedar point and is very reasonably priced.

Good room for the weekend. Was cleaned nicely. Super close to Cedar Point. Room had a bit of an odor to it, but was tolerable. Would stay again next time.

The owner was friendly and helpful. Great customer service. Hotel was in a safe area. Room was very spacious and clean. When leaving the hotel, I actually saw the staff washing the floors in the rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Location was not close to town. It was suppose to be downtown near pier . It was in industrial area. Not very clean at was old andneeds updates. Owner was pleasant.

We stayed here to visit Cedar Point. We drove up with two cars but only wanted to enter the park with one. The staff let us park our car in their lot before our check in time which was very accommodating. The property is very clean with no strong odors. It's a older building that needs updating, but nothing that effected our stay. We plan to stay again in the future.

A very good place to stay on a budget if planning to visit Cedar Point, as it’s located not far from the park. About a 10 minute drive. So very convenient. Staff was very friendly. Definitely would stay there again if I go back.

No frills cheap hotel the rooms are clean but dated. The owner and staff are amazing every time I stay here. The pool area while plane is nice the water was clean and cool on a hot day. Can’t wait to stay here again you can’t beat the price

Look, this isn't the Hilton or whatever but in all honesty this hotel for the price is not bad. The bed is comfortable, the AC is cold, the shower a little complicated but it's a place to get clean and sleep for cedar point. Kinda noisy in the morning though but all good. Staff was very polite! No bugs (we checked), parking right near the door we went in so not far to walk thankfully, and my kids froze me with the AC lol. Only thing is I wish they had something for breakfast - even just fruit available. I will definitely be staying again.

I was very impressed with hotel Avalon. I was kinda worried when I booked as it was the cheapest cost in the area, however everything was better than expected by far. The room was very clean and the pool was really nice and clean. Don't go in expecting a 4 star hotel but for a 2 star hotel it is extremely nice. Definitely will be staying again as it is also extremely close to cedar point.

Convenient location to Cedar Point, plenty of parking. The disparity from some nice things like marble counters to old carpet. Almost fell off the toilet due to the toilet seat missing a bolt. Overall was the most expensive stay while in Ohio and was the least nice stay.

Overall a very good budget pick for the Sandusky area. Staff were very nice and I enjoyed staying here. Not the cleanest, but that's what you get for the price. I would rather stay at this local business than a corporate chain anyway. I will be staying here again!
