Minutes to Historic Savannah and Tybee Island.... situated on a private marsh

Newly created Carriage house with separate, private entrance off our main house.. Luxurious king size bed with Egyptian cotton bedding. Studio perfect for a couple or solo traveler. Fully equipped kitchen with full size refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave/ convection oven. All you could ever want in your cozy home away from home. Enjoy the beautiful, private backyard and deck that extends out into the marsh surrounded by active egrits and herons. Studio is completely private and sound proof. Full bathroom.

One small dog fully trained pet is permitted, but you must contact me prior to booking about your pet. No furniture and must be on flea and tick medicine. There is a $20 pet fee per stay

Wonderful Easter Trip

We had a five star experience at this VRBO, accommodations were great, very clean, check in and check out were a breeze. The apartment is even more spacious than what it looks like in the picture. There were lots of things to cook with as well. Overall an excellent day, would love to stay again.

We stayed for our honeymoon, would definitely do it again. It was clean, intimate, private, with everything we would need to stay in if desired 😉 The location was fantastic, close to amenities, not too close; and our hosts were friendly, available and respectful of our privacy.

Minor hiccups Major hospitality

Stairs were a challenge for this 78-year old who recently had shoulder surgery so schlepping suitcases up and down not welcome. Bed was amazing as was coffee. TV was a challenge to operate. Location was perfect. Parking was good. Breakfast recommendation was terrific. Aside from missing box of tissues, it was great.

Coming "home" to Savannah

We stayed at Mary Ellen and Dwight's studio apartment the weekend after Thanksgiving 2024. We've lived in Savannah/Wilmington Island all our lives and recently moved to the North Georgia mountains. It was so nice to come back home to Savannah and stay in such a cozy cottage on the marsh. We were so busy visiting family we didn't get to enjoy the marsh view as much as we would have liked but the room was so lovely and comfortable and Dwight and Mary Ellen were so accommodating. If you're planning a trip to Savannah, you should definitely stay here!

Quiet and Comfortable

Overnighter to attend Big Band Dance at Savannah Country Club. The unit is spacious and nicely appointed. Kitchen is excellent and so is the bed and sofa!! Being in a nice locale within 2 miles of the CC was an important point and this was great.

The is an adorable place to stay with an extremely kind hostess. Not to mention, my husband and I both said that the bed was the most comfortable bed that either of us have ever slept on!

Thank you for allowing us room to park our boat. The area of your house made us feel comfortable leaving our boat parked on your property. Your neighborhood is beautiful! Great location to Savannah and Tybee. The house was very comfortable and clean. Everything we needed!

Small yet Cozy

It was a perfect place for 2 people. We also had our dog (10lb Morkie) with us. Plenty of room, and well stocked. We loved the location because we could get to Tybee Island in a few minutes, and downtown Savannah as well. We also visited Hilton Head one day to go to the beach, as Tybee beaches do not welcome dogs. We would have loved to sit out on the deck a bit, but it was very hot and humid and the mosquitos loved us! All in all - it was a fabulous spot!

Herons and egrets

We loved our stay on Wilmington Island. So much to do in the area; Tybee Island, Savannah, Forts, lighthouses, animal reserve, dolphin boat trip. Our hosts made sure our stay was comfortable and recommended River Street in Savannah; we went and enjoyed the area. The landscaping was beautiful. The deck over the marsh was where I spent the evenings watching and listening to the birds. I was comfortable walking in the community. All the people we met were extremely friendly. We highly recommend this clean, comfortable, lovely studio apartment.
