“Caroline, the proprietress of the Victorian by the Sea, is a delightful hostess. The inn itself is lovely and beautifully maintained, with colorful, well-tended gardens. So unprofessional and so "Terrible" is the review since we never had the "joy" of a happy birthday celebration. “The Black Horse Inn is a cosy lodging and Susan, the manager is a funny and friendly host! We were there for four days and it’s a perfect spot to discover that beautiful area of Maine. “Delightful in located blocks from the ocean in Castine. Really great breakfast, bikes available to use, good wifi. There was a power outage due to a storm while I was there and while the building didn't have a generator, breakfast was still served the next morning and I noticed very little difference to the inn's normal procedures.
