"This was my 3rd time visiting LGI. This house and property is by far the best one I’ve stayed at. It’s private, secluded, and stunning. This also might be the shortest walk from dock to beach house on the island. We found a ton of sharks teeth and even a crocodile tooth while strolling the beach. World class fishing, exquisite sandbars and only a short boat ride from Boca Grande. We will definitely be back for more!"

"My family of 5 enjoyed every second of this stay! The place was beautifully remodeled, fresh, clean and well-organized! They had everything we could possibly need! The beach was pristine and relaxing. The communication with Dawn about the property was absolutely incredible. She offered help in any way, detailed instructions, suggestions about places in the area, and overall was the friendliest host imaginable. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. We will be back!"

"If you’re looking for the perfect island retreat, look no further! This property has everything you could possibly need. The owners are fabulous. Their communication and willingness to ensure their guests have a great time is top notch! We spent nine days here and could have never left. After 33 years of marriage this was our first childless beach vacation! We shared so many beautiful photographs and conversations that our 17 year old booked a flight and joined us for the last 3 days of our trip! Property description and pictures don’t do this place justice. It was everything and more that we were looking for. "

"This is a beautifully decorated and comfortable home in a perfect spot about 100 yards from the beach or docks. We loved the kitchen/family room where we could all be together while prepping meals and in the late evenings. We ate in the screened in porch (really important given the big situation in late July) with a beautiful view and played family games in the late afternoon during quick storms.This host is wonderful. Warm, responsive and generous. We had the pleasure of meeting her on our way into the island and you can tell she truly cares about your experience, the island and sharing it with others. The house is well stocked and has pretty much all you need for your stay which is important because there’s no where to grab them from in a pinch. LGI is a dream of you’re looking for a (semi, you still have internet and cell service) complete break from the busyness and distractions of mainland. The natural beaches are glorious and filled with shells and wildlife - with very few people to distract. Don’t miss the glorious sunsets on the beach, which was my favorite part of our stay. The people on the island are also wonderful and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the folks at the golf cart rental place who were kind and really helpful to my elderly parents. The meal planning and groceries require some pre thought as there are no stores on the island although groceries can be delivered which is helpful and I’d recommend having them delivered "

"My family spent 4 nights in the condo and had a wonderful time. The condo was very clean and comfortable for the four of us. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. We eloved having our morning coffee on the back patio while watch the dolphins play! "

"A very nice little house perfect walking distance between the dock and the beach. Wonderful back porch to sit on up stairs as well to enjoy your evenings when the suns gone down, listening to the breeze, sea birds, and the happiness that is LGI. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, and a good attitude for an amazing time. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone and Michelle was amazingly helpful!"

"The Salty Mermaid is a great place to stay on Little Gasparilla! It was exceptionally clean and very well appointed. The 3 bedrooms all had comfy beds and sheets. The bathrooms were nice and clean, and the showers were stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There were a lot of towels in the house, but if you use them all, there is a washer and dryer included. There is a dining room with a table that seats 6 people. The couch / TV room is comfy and spacy. The TV appears to be 70 inches, and had subscriptions to most major streaming providers. The kitchen was very nice. Well stocked and very nicely decorated. We cooked dinner most nights and enjoyed eating on the back deck. There are numerous outdoor seating options that are comfortable and well thought out. There's even a fire pit stocked with wood! I can't say enough good things about the Salty Mermaid. We'll definitely be back. One thing to know is that the house is elevated similar to most of the houses on the island, so you do climb steps to get up to the house. This was not a problem for our family, but is something to be aware of if any one in your party has difficulty with stairs. "

"First thing you need to know that it is on an island not accessible by car. You must take a water taxi that is 20 per person each way. I didnt know this until 6 days before arrival. There is also NO stores, reaturants, or anything else to buy. There is an island delivery service that will bring groceries for a fee. With all that being said, it was an amazing get away. We basically had the beach to ourselves and everyone was very helpful. With no restaurants, we had fun cooking meals together and had lots of dance parties. It felt like we had no neighbors and were about 100 yards from the shoreline. The beds were comfortable and the rental agency checked on us daily to make sure everything was going well. I was thrown at first when I found out about no cars on the island but it ended up being an awesome experience. I look forward to bringing friends back again. Again, the beach to ourselves was the highlight of the trip. fee. There are no cars on the island."
