"The resort pool was closed with no notice to guests, we were told the morning of, someone had rented it out so hotel guests had no access all day. Thankfully (so I thought) I had chair reservations at the adults only pool however my chairs had been given away and there were no chairs left. Housekeeping never came in 8 nights although they claim to provide housekeeping services. I had to go to the front desk daily to ask for towels and take out my garbage as no one ever came when I called housekeeping from the room. Service at every restaurant was extremely slow and service at the pool was intermittent. I wouldn’t stay again! This is in no way a resort as they claim to be. The property is mismanaged. I have to give zero stars because that’s what my stay deserves after the aggravation day after day. "

"The room was clean and had everything we needed. My husband said his side of the bed sagged toward the side and was not comfortable, but my side was fine. There were only 2 pillows on the bed, and we were glad we had one of our own from the car to use. The pool was very nice and the staff was great. "Our unit need a lot of attention. The property has much more construction going on still - more that they explained when I called to check. Somehow we got checked in before we even arrived, which was concerning. The app for activities gives very little info and the employees don’t have any knowledge of them either- we couldn’t figure out where to go for our kayak excursion. The water sports employee that helped us when we finally found the area was AWESOME though- super nice and friendly and helpful and knowledge. I grew up going to Sanibel/Captiva so I’ve been a lot in 47 years. They are doing great at rebuilding on the islands, but South Seas needs some better management and still has a ways to go before construction will be complete. "
