"Extremely clean home. Updated, very nice. Certainly a home away from home. The neighborhood is kind of a typical older Central Florida neighborhood. The backyard area is fantastic, the deck is great. The cow trough pool was a super big hit with my autistic son. My husband actually wants to create the same scenario here at our home! The beds were very comfortable. There are pots and pans but they are very used and scratched up so if you plan to cook a lot you might want to bring some of your own. But other than that I have no complaints about our stay and if we are coming back to the area we are definitely going to stay here again. The owners are super nice and communication everything was easy. This is how a VRBO home should run."

"We had a large family group stay at this property. Everyone had a fantastic time. There was lots of room and we were extremely pleased at how well the house was stocked with supplies and features. Since we cooked in every day, it was wonderful to have such a well stocked kitchen, with plenty of appliances, pots and pans as well as spices, etc. Made things very easy. We had some minor issues but Vonda was very responsive and took care of things very quickly. Highly recommend this property!"
"We had a great time here! I'm a youth pastor who looks for places to keep students for a few days each summer, and this house did great to serve our needs. We had room to spread out comfortably. If you're looking for a place in town and close to everything, this is the place! I only had to communicate with the hosts a couple times, but they were professional and courteous, and quick to answer what I needed. If I was to give a tip to any future guests, I would say unless you're comfortable parking in the street next to the house, two cars is max for parking, and as someone who often uses enclosed trailers for luggage for trips, I'm glad I didn't need one this time. Overall, their consistent 4-5 star ratings speak for themselves!"

From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home—but with all the fun and beauty of a dream vacation.The pool area was absolutely phenomenal. It became the heart of our trip—where memories were made, laughter echoed, and the kids (ages 1 to 17!) spent endless hours splashing, swimming, and simply enjoying themselves. It’s rare to find a place that entertains every age so effortlessly, but this home delivered.The house itself had everything we needed—thoughtfully stocked, incredibly clean, and full of charm. John, our host, was outstanding: responsive, helpful, and always just a message away. His attention to detail and care for our experience truly made a difference.Beyond the home, Palm Harbor offers so much to explore. With beautiful beaches just minutes away and a variety of local attractions, there was never a dull moment. But honestly, the comfort and joy of the house made it tempting to just stay in and relax.I can’t recommend the Avocado House enough—whether you're traveling with a big family like ours or just looking for a peaceful escape. "The location was perfect, within walking distance from the beach. The house was well appointed with everything needed for a great vacation or short term housing. Pet friendly and with what is essentially an in-law suite, kids, parents and couples can have the privacy that is often lacking in hotel stays. Three very nice bathrooms and BIDETS!!The hosts were very accommodating and if I come back to Tarpon, I would definitely stay again. "

"With this beautiful house you’re only a few steps from the water where you can launch a kayak or paddle-board. The house has everything you could need for a wonderful time either in the house, pool or ocean. It’s perfect location and amenity’s give you the option to stay in if the weather gets bad. If you like to cook this is a great place and there is about every spice, utensil and condiment you might need. I didn’t have any issues or problems however I did message the host a few times with a couple questions and the response time was very good and the replies were thorough. Even the neighbors were friendly and would wave and say hi (which you don’t always get with a rental property). The views are stunning and sitting on one of the balconies with a cold drink, watching the sunset is unforgettable. You won’t regret spending your time at this house and if you have kids this will be something they remember talk about for a long time. "
