"We really loved this hotel. Super comfortable beds and quiet room. Cosy areas to sit around the hotel and great to have food and postcards etc. offered. Good location."
"Great location! Staff were friendly and very accomdating, even helped me talk to the police when i had lost my phone. 10/10 stay, can say enough howbgreat the staff is!"
"Cute hotel located right in the heart of Ximending. Includes a very tasty breakfast each morning and a few extra little gifts. I will be staying here again."
"Don't let the outside fool you - the hotel itself is lovely and well maintained. The room was clean and the front desk people were always helpful. A great deal for a bustling area."

This revamped Japanese colonial tea house and market building in the anything-goes neighborhood of Ximending is one of Taipei’s most iconic cultural hubs.
The imposing façade of this Japanese colonial-era government building showcases a mix of architectural styles while the interior is equally impressive.
"The service was top notch. All the citizens employees spoke English very well. The room was clean with a nice view of the river. Ximending was a 5 min walk. MRT is a 3-4 minute walk either way. I found most of the meals better than the street food. Taipei City under ground Mall is about a 5 minute walk connected to the MRT main station. I found the food there better than the night market. Breakfast at Citizen M had a variety of western and Asian dishes. I highly recommend this hotel, but I do have some cons about it. If you stay in the higher floors, there’s some random noise that kinda sound like a dog barking every 15-20 mins and it sounds like a person placing a cup down on a counter. The elevator system are not sinked so everyone presses all of the button so when your on the elevator it stops frequently. Other than that it’s an awesome place to stay. "
"The stay is great, hospitality services, location transport and food options are good, with washing machine & dryer options too. A little downside i observed is the remote controller sensitivity to the tv, and the towels water absorbent is not as good. Still a great stay nonetheless. Cheers."
"The hotel is really on the high end and we enjoyed our stay there. It is convenient as as such travelling by bus or train was excellent. The hotel dining staff are so helpful, they tried their best to accommodate our needs even with their english & our mandarin language difficulty.
We will definitely come back. "
"Clean room and offer a lot of amenity. The staff was professional and great service. Any room requests were promptly delivered. Overall, our experience was great and will stay at this hotel again if we happen to visit Taiwan in the future. "
"Easily one of my fav hotels around the world!
The hotel location was superb, walkable to XiMenDing shopping street and the train station is just downstairs!
The room was super clean and spacious, stayed on the 3rd floor yet couldn’t hear any sounds from outside - making it a restful and comfy stay. Many shelves and tables available in the room as well.
Guest services were helpful and prompt in providing room amenities whenever requested.
One minor downside is that there were only 3 lifts available across 14 floors and the waiting time for them could take a while especially during peak movement hours (e.g checkin/checkout)
Overall, a really good stay at Sotetsu Grand Fresa XiMen and I’d definitely recommend it to friends visiting Taipei. Thank you for the great hospitality!"
