the staff was super friendly, and the restaurant was great. The room itself was exactly what we were looking for. The only reason it was not 5 stars is because it seems that although the website boasts free nordic ski rentals, when we asked the front desk about it, they had no idea what we were talking about and said that they did not have it.

Nice to have the outdoor (semi) heated pool and very hot hot tub after hiking the north shore. Room was cute, spacious, and conveniently located - the lake shore was just a few steps out our patio door. The kids liked having yard games available. Bonus points for properly sized hot tubs so we didn’t have to cram.

Property was good, clean comfortable. Enjoyed a relaxing evening by the fire pit out front. The restaurant was very good. I enjoyed my light dinner there. My thought is a less formal dining area with separate bar area. I didn't feel it fit the rest of the decor nor the surrounding area. It would have been nice to have a cocktail after 9pm, other than the the "sidewalks" rolling up early.

Our room was nice. For the price a few items could be updates. The coffee maker is very old and the coffee packets are horrible. The pillows and mattress need to be updated. I know the property was purchased and I think there has been some upgrades but I think there could be a few more. Thank you for what's been done and I hope to see continuous improvement with the rooms due to the cost to rent them. We do truly enjoy your property, we loved playing bags and sitting on the beach enjoying the view. It's a beautiful property.

We were pleasantly surprised by this resort. The staff were kind, the hotel is aging but very clean, it was quiet and the location was fantastic. Shocked by how few customers the restaurant had because the vibe is beautiful and the food was delicious (highly recommend the avocado toast or the chilaquiles on the breakfast menu) We will definitely stay here again

For the price, we were not impressed. Although the outside areas were nice, our room was very basic. There was no room to get ready by the bathroom sink, the coffee was not good, and no free breakfast in the morning. We had to go downstairs to get coffee from the lobby, and there was no half and half, which is how I like my coffee. It also wasn’t available until 7:30am or so (we are early risers). The restaurant was overpriced, but did have a nice view of the lake. We will look for a VRBO or Airbnb next time.

Liked lake view, S’mores and fire pits. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. No street light to help mark entrance into Burlington Bay. Hard to see at night. Room darkening blinds would be nice. Never did get the in room fire place to work, in spite of the best effort by the maintenance person. Desk staff offered rate discount to compensate for lack of fire place. Good spot for agate hunting. We would stay here again, but a few adjustments could make it better.

Honestly the room was expensive for the time of year. The hotel didn't appear to be even close to full and we were never offered a room with a lake view. The dinning room was way overpriced and I bar. Not a comfortable nice dinning experience. I was disappointed for the cost. I feel I should be compensated
