“A nice hotel situated off the beaten track but convenient for those driving the NC500. The drive to get to The Drumbeg (I drove from Bettyhill) was incredible- and probably the highlight for me! The hotel was comfortable and had a homely feel to it but other comments of it being quite dated are right. “They said the cooker was broken however we feel that they should have had someone to repair it asap. We understood there was no Tv or wifi but in this day and age anything is possible even if you have to raise the price. We were not told about electricity that it was a key meter it was only when an alarm was going off we traced it to electric box to find there was only 50p left on it we put key on and it added another £15 which went nowhere these are very expensive devices. “The room was well appointed and the good and service in the restaurant excellent. The only feedback I have is the shower over the bath could be difficult for an older person to safely get in and out of and check in times are not always convenient for weary travellers..when we arrived at 3.40pm after travelling from Northumberland and absolutely needing the bathroom, the hosts made us wait 20 minutes before opening the door.”
