We loved the location and property was in great shape. Check in was an unexpected adventure. We checked in at 3:30 and the room was ready. We put some of our belongings in the room and left to go see family we were there to visit and when we arrived back that night our room keys didn’t work. We were quite surprised to find that they had given away the room to someone else who had complained about their room and removed our belongings without notifying us. We were able to secure another room there for the night but it was not a smooth transition. Staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized.

I was pleasantly surprised by this property and my experience. I tend to strictly stay at another large hotel chain but after a negative experience elsewhere, I gave Candlewood Suites a try. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was friendly. Will definitely recommend and stay here again!

Great stay and remodel

Place is being remodeled currently. The room was way nicer than the pictures online. Bed was comfy, shower was good, everything was spacious and super clean. I traveled with my dogs and they were good with them too. Only thing I’d change is having a bit more green space for walking them, but given the location it was sufficient.

This was our second time to the Wake Forest area and the second time at this hotel. Staff goes out of their way for their guests. The hotel feels as though it could use some updates in the rooms, but the rooms are clean and comfortable.

It was decent

It was a decent location. Construction was taking place in and outside the building. So the elevator was not working. We had to take all of our bags and dogs upstairs via the stairs. (We were on the 4th floor).
