"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. 3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (103)
"Very unique old mansion complete with eclectic wall to wall art, probably original furniture and uneven/squeaky floors. Only part upgraded were bathrooms. Living room space fits a group nicely. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Interior needs some help with musty/moldy odor. Beds could use some newer mattresses, not very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Limited communication with staff, especially at checkin. One visit was good enough for us. "
