If you are using the Eurostar high speed trains and need to stay the night in Brussels, the Pullman Hotel is the best option by far. It is essentially on top of the Brussels Midi/Zuid station, and you never need to leave the building to get to it. Don't make the mistake I did and go outside with rolling suitcases. Some sadist decided to put in pavement that is next to impossible to roll anything on, but inside there are smooth floors that make it easy. I was just stayed the night with my wife, but the room was quiet, comfortable, attractive and clean. We took the first train to London and the entrance for that, along with cafes and other food establishments, were right there almost immediately outside the hotel doors. As we arrived from Germany in the evening and left first thing in the morning, we didn't see much of the neighborhood, but it didn't look like anything great. For our purposes, the Pullman Hotel was perfect.

Staff was amazing, great location, would stay there again!

The staff were very helpful giving me restaurants ideas everyday I was there. The only down part was that the breakfast was the same that needs to change and have more variety for the hot section.

Conveniently located hotel on the edge of Brussels’s pedestrianised area, with a parking under the hotel. Room was clean and well furnished, bathroom large with double shower facilities. The hotel comes with free basic Wifi, which you can upgrade for EUR 15, but we booked an offer with enhanced Wifi and parking. When we queried with reception how to set it up we were told there was no such thing, then after a few minutes the employee came back and told us it was done. Nothing was actually changed in the Wifi login process so I don’t know whether they did anything or not. Leaving their car park was an issue - it took us 15 minutes as the door or barrier never opened (it is currently meant to be a ticketless process). None of the machine’s help buttons or phone by the door worked, so my wife had to get out of the car in the narrow ramp to manually open the door to try and get help from outside but then got stuck. I eventually managed to reach reception so they could override the barrier and door but this is a messy process

Overall, a good experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities generally very good. Comfortable room and the housekeeping staff were great. Gym was adequate - could do with some free weights suitable for women - the ones there were too heavy to lift. Running machine was out of action all week disappointingly. Area surrounding the hotel is not very pleasant especially at night and there is major construction work ongoing right outside the hotel.
