Great location, nice beach and pool area.

Excellent location. Close to bars and restaurants. Lovely views from sea view room. Close to the beach. Regular buses into Dubrovnik. Alternatively, easy to use Uber. Friendly, helpful staff. Great buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

It’s a very big hotel the staff are very good , the cocktail waiter at the bar by the stairs is brilliant, it’s spotless clean, the food is very good , my only thing was I didn’t realise it would be so busy a lot of young family’s which if that’s what you are it’s perfect for you , I just never realised it when I booked ! Overall it deserves a 5

This is my favorite hotel. I land on the way in and on the way out. There are beautiful hotels, and then there are hotels that become part of your relationship with a city. For me, the Esplanade is Zagreb. Every time I return, there is an immediate feeling of being somewhere special and familiar. The history, architecture, rooms, food, and incredible location are all exceptional, but it is the people who make this hotel what it is. The warmth and genuine Croatian hospitality never feel scripted. You feel welcomed, remembered, and cared for. I have been fortunate to stay at some of the best luxury hotels around the world, and the Esplanade continues to hold its own among them. There is an old-world elegance here that is increasingly difficult to find—grand and sophisticated, but still deeply personal. Croatia is very special to me, and returning to Zagreb always carries meaning. Having the Esplanade be part of that experience makes it even more memorable. This isn’t simply a hotel I recommend. It’s a hotel I genuinely love returning to, and one that feels inseparable from Zagreb itself. An icon, and deservedly so.

Great location, nice beach and pool area.

The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, location is perfect (7-10 minute walk to Old Town; not in the middle of busy tourist areas). Staff helped us book kayak and boat trips, and also helped me arrange for flowers to be delivered on our wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful experience, and many of the locals confirmed this is the #1 hotel in Dubrovnik.

The room was elegant and of course clean. Staff was terrific! Mia was very helpful setting us up with two day tours, one to Bosnia and another to Montenegro. Other staff members were very helpful getting us taxi and out to the airport on our return!
