The hotel was well located in an area that was walking distance from attractions, restaurants, grocery stores and pharmacies.I really enjoyed eating at the Green Hippo nearby. Our room had a view of the lovely park with Toololahti Bay. We arrived about an hour early but thankfully our room was ready. Check in and out were easy and pleasant. The beds were comfortable, and there was enough space for the three of us and our luggage. The only thing I did not like about the room was the shower, as there was no separation of the floor space from the rest, meaning that we needed to change floor towels consistently. I really did not like that, especially since we were there for a week and had to deal with it. The breakfast was amazing. There were options for various dietary needs. The booking system was great, especially since the hotel is large and breakfast can get quite busy. The attending staff were very efficient at ensuring that food was stocked and that the tables were cleared. As a side note, I wish that guests wouldn’t waste so much food! The gym was also good, as it had cardio machines plus lots of weightlifting equipment and a separate stretching area.

I booked with Expedia, but paid on check-in. I had to leave three days early. When I left I asked for a refund for two of the three unused nights. I was told to contact Expedia. Expedia said since I had paid the hotel directly, they were responsible. I called them twice and was told I would receive a call back. No one called. Then I sent an email. No answer after two weeks. Very poor business office. Not appropriate to ignore my request and tell me nothing. I would not book again.

Food was very good, although menu somewhat limited for those who don’t like fish or reindeer. Breakfast was opulent and very good. Overall, an excellent experience. If fate ever takes us back to Rovaniemi, it will be to the Lapland Sky!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The view from our window was very scenic. Parking was available at no cost. Dinners were tasty but I didn't particularly like the breakfasts. The breads and the scrambled eggs were not very good. However my husband thought the breakfast was fine. Despite my comments about breakfast, I would nevertheless recommend this hotel.
