The grounds were beautiful. The spa and sauna were wonderful. We had a lovely corner room in the manor with a stellar deck and view of the Baltic. Breakfast was delicious. All the common areas of the manor were sophisticated and emanated old world charm. I owe my fine stay to the helpful Ali, who placed me in the best room available! Kiitos! The rest of the staff were lovely, including Tarki.

I booked with Expedia, but paid on check-in. I had to leave three days early. When I left I asked for a refund for two of the three unused nights. I was told to contact Expedia. Expedia said since I had paid the hotel directly, they were responsible. I called them twice and was told I would receive a call back. No one called. Then I sent an email. No answer after two weeks. Very poor business office. Not appropriate to ignore my request and tell me nothing. I would not book again.

Mold in the bathroom, water leaks under the shower door, we had to clean the bathroom after taking a shower.

Room was clean and quite comfortable. In-room sauna was a real treat! Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very good, although menu somewhat limited for those who don’t like fish or reindeer. Breakfast was opulent and very good. Overall, an excellent experience. If fate ever takes us back to Rovaniemi, it will be to the Lapland Sky!

Great location and wonderful rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. It’s located close to high-end retail and local attractions.
